Actually yes! Wendy Faulkner keeps pretty close tabs on who owes beer, and she was very quick to remind Walt of that : ) Since we had to move the wedding from the dropzone to indoors, I am sure it is still in the beer fridge (at least until the weather is good for jumping again anyway) Hope you had a great time in Chicago; it was probably warmer there. Life is truly what happens when you are busy making other plans!About three weeks ago, "Life" happened in a bi-plane at around 7,000 feet when Walt took off his camera helmet (kudos for not dropping it), pointed toward my head and proposed to me! He is still! in the process of editing the video, but I will never forget what he said. "Hey love of my life...will you marry me!?" To which I replied, "you bet I will!" So on November 23 my last name will become Appel!.....and I'm pretty sure this "Appel" will stay on dz.com a LOT longer than the first one did!! Anyway, just wanted to share the wonderful news with all of you

Woody, one of my fondest memories of you is from one of my earliest CRW jumps at Skydive Temple. Walt and I were flying in a bi-plane around the edge of a cloud, and you were just up there hanging out with us. We could hear you cheering us on as you flew close by : ) We found ourselves miles away from the dropzone, and landing out near some country road. I remember all three of us getting a ride back from a nearby resident, and that this was when I learned what your real name was....as you introduced yourself to one of the wide-eyed children who watched us land! I met Ken on my first big way CRW camp at Eloy in January of 2012. Had a great time hanging out and flying with him. So sorry he has left us Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28

Take him shopping? HA....he finally bought new shoes for CRW after his old ones had more holes than fabric left! I was shocked even then that he bought new shoes.
