  1. It has been tried on a canopy. Turned out it was impossible to pack.Kinda makes sense if you think about it a little.
  2. @carrier louis paul What was that piece of metal that flew off to the side when RPC launced?
  3. Any Wings container can be retrofitted with Boost. Only thing you need to send to factory is free bag/bridle. New style Boost RSLs are made of single piece Type 4 (unlike original Boost "extension") Alternatively you could simply order new freebag w/Boost and compatible RSL and keep old one as spare.
  4. Huh? When did USPA get the regulatory authority to mandate repack cycles? Last time I checked 14CFR105 has no mention of USPA or any other private organization.
  5. Serial number and DOM should be a dead giveaway.
  6. Anything that runs off of batteries will eventually run out of juice. As a matter of fact m2 is the only AAD currently on market that allows you to check the battery level. The downside of using "exotic" parts or gear is that not everyone may be familiar with it. Case in point: just last week I had a customer bring me a rig with m2 in it that still had cutter that has been recalled with SB in 2016. Rig was kept in date the entire time...
  7. Try contacting Stane at www.basetroll.com. Padalcek - CCO, HF-17 http://www.theflyinghellfish.com I'm not a real skydiver - but I do play one on dz.com.
  8. The last Javelin that I assembled for a customer (DOM 10/15) was shipped from factory with a bag of Tube Stoes. I believe Sunpath has acquired the patent/production rights for them. You could try contacting them. Padalcek - CCO, HF-17 http://www.theflyinghellfish.com I'm not a real skydiver - but I do play one on dz.com.
  9. Exactly how long it takes to reattach the slider depends largely on your proficiency on the system you're using. Frank does offer kill-line collapsible/RDS combo, designed specifically for people like you, who might not always have time between loads to deal with all the extra steps of RDS.
  10. Frank has a great gear bag design with motorcycle (all weather) cover option that has a built in one way valve to eliminate pressurization. Sadly he no longer sells his products in US. He might still do business with Canada. Not cheap but worth every penny. www.lookma.de Padalcek - CCO, HF-17 http://www.theflyinghellfish.com I'm not a real skydiver - but I do play one on dz.com.
  11. Just came across an older container. No TSO/foreign approval markings of any kind. Only identifying mark is a small label sewn on LH reserve riser: PS Product Type: Orion Fab.Dt. 07.Apr.1997 Fab.No. 532 Anybody out there have an idea of where/by whom this was made? 12. I second that motion. Padalcek - CCO, HF-17 http://www.theflyinghellfish.com I'm not a real skydiver - but I do play one on dz.com.
  13. I have seen those on one of the early sponsored rigs. The geometry is very clean. If the extra cost for the option is not a deterrent for you, I'm pretty sure you'll end up being happy for choosing them. 14. I've had my Oxygen helmet for many years now. I did initially experience issues with visor. After replacing it twice in a relatively short period of time, I removed it completely and opted for wearing well fitted sunglasses instead. End result: zero problems. As a matter of fact Doug Parks offered to sell me a new helmet a few years back at a very nice price. I asked him instead to reline the old one
