  1. nice dropzone for sale there I wonder if anyone has bought it.
  2. I always wondered what does it take to open a dropzone? Do they make a ton or do they barely scrape by?
  3. I was just wondering if telling a girl you are a skydiver makes you sexier in her eyes?
  4. SO does this mean, that if I want to give myself a little more piece of mind when I take my classes, would I be able to ask the dropzone to put a 3rd chute on my chest? If they have one at the dropzone of course.
  5. I was thinking about cases where a jumper goes out spins, loses control with the main. Get wrapped up in his main, tries to deploy reserve but it too gets stuck in all the mess. Jumper cuts away as much of the mess as he could then deploys the 3rd chute. MAybe this might be extreme case but just having third chute there might make one feel more safe in the air knowing you have a backup to a backup.
  6. I read about incidents and malfunctions that result in bad outcomes. Is it possible to make skydiving even safer by adding a third chute. Meaining main, reserve, and a third chute that is hanging off your chest. Couldn't this prevent the malfunctions where reserve gets tangled in the main, etc?
  7. Sopheavy:I think I remember you now. I was waitng in the air conditioned waiting room when you and your group came into sign in. I was watching TV. You were after me then. I jumped, then the plane landed and turned off and was waiting on the ground when I left the dropzone. You came with some white guys right? I was on jump 19 I recall, cuz all the tandems were on odd number jumps until 20.
  8. Hey ditto and sopheavy, JUmp 20, I think I was jump 19 or 20 also. I just know that after my jump, the plane was in shutdown. Hey Ditto, I was last off the plane with Donny. Hoop and the student was to my left and jumped just before me. I think Hoops said that was the tandem 2 the student was doing. Was that you? I think I was the only Asian guy I saw that jumped on my load. Sopheavy: Photography makes money, you could also make money in skydiving with packing and becoming a tandem instructor :)
  9. Hello sopheavy, I loved my second tandem since I got to turn and and track. Its really cool spinning around in the air. I think you were the load after me then. I went up with 7 other tandems, then the plane shut down for 20 minutes then flew back up after me. I jumped around 5:30. Now I Am deciding on whether to take classes or not. Skydiving is expensive compared to waterski, scuba which are the other ones I want to learn. I tell you though, doing the 2 tandems really makes you want to go up more even though everythime I go up, I get nervous as heck. IS photography as expensive as skydiving?
  10. Hello Sopheavy, I was there doing my 2nd tandem that day too. What jump were you on? I was the only Asian guy there that jumps :) I jumped with Donny, I have recommended so many people to him. He is awesome.
  11. SId: Do you live at the dropzone also? If so, do they allow you to shower and use their facilities if you live out of your truck?
  12. so dgskydive and sid: HOw did you all get the money to skydive? Did you live at the dropzone too?
  13. I hear stories and see in the movies of some people totally quitting their jobs selling everything and their livelihood, and go devote their lives to skydiving? If you anyone who did this, how did they survive and what does it take to do pull of something like this?
  14. I was wondering what it takes to become a packer. ALso, how much do they usually make? Is it by the hour or by how many packs they do?
