  1. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to spend here and would of loved to see more of it but I only had a short time.
I emailed SGC asking them if i could jump as i'd left my logbook at The Farm in Georgia. Within a couple of hours I had a reply telling me they had spoke to The Farm and they looked forward to my arrival. They went the extra yard there and i was very impressed.

I arrived and i didnt have my packing card saying my reserve was in date (i was a real pain in the arse for them) and that wasnt a problem. Jim the DZO gave me free gear rental.

Paper work filled out and I was on a 20 minute call. Excellent.

I got 13.5k in the Otter then went up for a quick hop n pop in a lovely litte Cessna 182.

Super friendly people and I will definately be back there before I head back home to England.

  2. I decided to visit the farm about 10,000 miles away from home just as an impulse decision based on another British skydiver who convinced me to go.
I arrived and was made to feel very welcome instantly. Manifest is quick and infact its hard not to get on a load if you're ready.
Lots of facilities and simply an amazing club atmosphere.

This place showed me what skydiving is really about, I would suggest giving this place a visit in the future to anyone.

  3. I really liked the vibe at headcorn, i met some cool people and made some cool jumps from the Let410 (which had seats!)

I turned up and had an in depth DZ brief and got to jumping. The turna around was slow but only had myself to blame not being able to pack.

I was shocked that students where on radio up to 50 jumps but really impressed at the same time. It was very safety orientated.

The DZ is on a pretty small airfield that is quite busy with air traffic. Sometimes your left floating around waiting for traffic to pass by but always got the 12k.

The student gear on hire was very good (ignoring the fury) and i had a great time playing with a silhouette 190 which was brand new.

I enjoyed myself and met some very nice people at the end having a beer, if you havnt been check it out. I had a brilliant time.

  4. This was the first dropzone i've visited apart from my home DZ and it was absolutely great.

Tommo the CCI was quick to welcome us and from there it was straight down to business, jumping.

If you did find anything wrong with the place it just didnt matter because of all the positives. Everyone was quick to make you feel welcome with smiles and handshakes.

As for the landing area...i could of got out in Iraq and made it back. Very big but with lots of air traffic you had to keep a watch around.

All in all this place is ran with one thing in mind, to look after the guys and girls who are going to be coming back week after week.

    Highly recommended.
