I think that any person who relies on just one source of information to make up their minds and draws conclusions has a very high chance of being completely misinformed. Knowing a bit of the background and history of the media outlet provides a basis for understanding slants and editorial remarks.

If I was bashing anything, it was the world that we live in.... I do find it ironic that many freedoms are being suspended so that one person can talk about freedom. If you don't see some irony there...... The levels of security are unprecedented, we are beyond the simple statement of: we have to protect our president.

With a country as diverse as Iraq and the turmoil it is in, we really need some more information on how this survey was conducted. Let's say for instance it was conducted by phone, now do the same survey but do it via intercepts in a rural area. I would be pretty sure the results would be very different.

They were just reporting the outcome of a poll...no editorial comments, no conclusions, letting those reading the article decide for themselves. I think that is good reporting, I find it scary when they start drawing the conclusions for you and most people swallow it blindly. Hence, most of those who believe Iraq has WMD and was involved with 9/11 get their news from FOX.

Funny enough the neighbourhood I work in ensures that they staff their stores with multi language staff due to the enormous ethnic diversity. I don't. The resolution called for use of force. the letter the resolution was based on is quite funny to read now, many of the reasons have since turned out to be wrong. The President has turned this conflict into a full fledged war. Congress has no way of stopping the President or this war or offer any direction or limitation. The only thing they can do is stop funding.

The separation of the power of declaring war from that of conducting it, is wisely contrived to exclude the danger of its being declared for the sake of its being conducted. Funny enough, your Supreme Court has refused to take this issue into consideration in any form that it has been introduced.
