I too have never heard of the speed 2000 and would like more info on it from anyone who has seen one or even jumped it. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

Welcome to UK skydiving and your not the only one who has had these issues. In a nutt shell, with the exception of 2 out of the 5 DZ's I've been to here in the UK, they suck and are not very friedly/helpfull to new jumpers whom took AFF elswhere, and others. Find another DZ. If you would like to PM where you live or where you went to I can recommend a DZ that will take good care of you. Was just there this weekend with shropshire. It was interesting watching them in wingsuits. I'd have to say most of my joy came from seeing one of them completely out of his comfort zone (especially after having two coached jumps that day and them making me look that bad ) SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

Welcome to jumping (I use this term loosly) in the UK. There are lots of intersting restrictions over here as far as fitness, age, jump number, etc. Lots more work for lots less jumping. lol Where are you planning on jumping over here? Nothing as intensive as a class III. Go to the BPA website and I believe you can download/print the form from there. Then have your provider sign it. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

anyone ever coached by babylon or other great FFers?
woodpecker replied to woodpecker's topic in Freeflying
just got back from Emp and did my coach jumps with babylon. Apparently I'm doing everything right and just need to keep pushing my legs (more strong) I'm a 'floater' since I'm so light so anyone I FF with cant be lazy, nor can I. My sit is now basically a stand. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on? -
I just got back from a skydiving trip and had two coached jumped for my sit and told the same thing. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

-The longest pre-jump handshake/ritual EVER! Thats why we leave the plane last....so we have enough time to do it. -GEAR WHORE!!!! SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on? -
Landings--good point. Since i'm of course jumping without a rig the more durable material would be the way to go. Actually, I did go with parapack since it is more durable (i'll just sweat more in the summer) and with all the crawling in airplanes, etc it will hold up longer. Thanks for the link. piccies to be posted soon! SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?

Specifically: when looking/inspecting your line set, what stands out or should you look for that is the tell tell sign you need new ones? Just a question that popped into my head while repacking my rig here at work. Damn I need to jump. thanks in advance, Billy SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
