  1. How hard can it be...your sitting in a chair for fucks sake! and YES, I expect us to do this next time we go out and fly. are you going to be home this friday? SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  2. xbox 360 - kidkaz COD 4, RB6, Halo 3 This class is kicking my ass so I'm not on much, but add me and after the new year its on!!!!! SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  3. I had the same thing happen. I moved from a Sabre to a Pilot, rolled/tucked the nose, pulled at 5K and was in the saddle just a little higher than my then usual height. Lesson learned: Always pull high when flying a new canopy for the first time. That was a llloooonnnggg 1200ft. I just remember wondering if the damn thing was going to ever completly pressurize. 4. It is very canopy/wing load specific. I own four different canopies. All four have completely different "sweet spots". Length of risers and arms will also change the sweet spot relative to your torso (shoulder height, ear height, etc). Let me rephrase: I didnt know that doing a 2 stage flare compared to a 3 stage or other was canopy specific and maybe added in the "sweet spot" portion. It was late and I just finished a 12 hour midterm. SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  5. How do you flare your canopy now? What canopy were you flying before you bought this one? First stage is to your shoulders, when you lose your foward speed and start decending again you finish your flare. I didnt know this was specific to a canopy though. 6. dont roll or tuck the nose. Just pull it out from between your legs and let it go. Then finish with the pack job like normal. This should speed up your openings a little. Other possabilities are your slider. Is it the correct size? I'll let more experienced people discuss this option with you though. 7. Hell thats it. Jump a pilot Are you rolling/tucking the nose? SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  8. Actually, Bedford sucks.....not blows. Just to throw that out there. LOL This thread has moved in so many directions where to start. hmmmmm I jump in the UK and yes in the winter when the rain/wind isnt screwing it up and what can I say...suck it up and dress warm. I've also experience good/bad in many DZ's here in the UK. I've had great experiences at some and shitty at others...hell I've even had shitty, went back and had a great time. Tunnels, yes you can live without them, but what a training tool. I too entered this sport to have fun and be in the air, but when it was crappy one month last year I went to bedford and what an experience. After 150 or so jumps I realized I suck...I was all over the place. That being said I enjoy the tunnels for training and it actually had a kind of DZ feel to it (at least at bedford). Go to bedford, enjoy yourself, and remember....just because your a skydiver doesnt mean you know anything. You'll understand the minute you get into the tunnel. Its quite a humbling experience. BPA- they dont have to worry about scaring away jumpers with doing whatever with the team....their membership fees are going to kill it over here. Its absolutely redic. but thats for another thread. 9. Just my routine. I was using a different one prior to this but I change routines every three months. Keeps the muscle memory down. When I'm in training for anything I add a few things, usually weights and other specifics. Good luck to all with the holidays coming up. These are the hard ones to continue thru. 16. This is exactly what I'm talking about. In "PROPER" english we would have said, "that's no where close". East Anglia...where the fuck is Anglia? And you wonder why we left in the first place. 24. So its okay to just drop numbers on the left to make it work and the computer will just fill them in as need be? I ask because when I run the new binary number (minus the two 0's) it doesnt represent 625 anymore. We jumping tomorrow? SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
  25. I'm trying to convert 625 into its 12-bit 2's compliment and cant get my head around this easy conversion. When I convert 625 directly to binary I get 00 0110 0111 0001 but cant remember what to do in order to change it to 12-bits. Can I just drop the first two zeros? When I did that it changed the variable, thus the question. thanks in advance, BS SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
