Hey....you only have 2 buttons to push and a stick, rudder and throttle to throw around wildly in that situation. Lisa- There you go taking shit seriously again??????? WASSSUUUPPPP With that? Actually I have a lot of RW experience considering I only have 69 jumps. I did start jumping at Raeford! Home of the Golden Knights and all. I have at least one 15 or 16 way. Several 9 ways and a lot of smaller RW dives in the 4-6 way area. I just found that when I turned the axis......things got a bunch cooler. I'll still do RW dives with the right people. Free Flying demands so much more skill. So, it's a bigger challenge for me. Yes, you must be damn good at flying on your belly before you could ever hope to fly on your head. Besides, lighten up. Show your tits at the drop zone this weekend! Do not adjust your Alti on the way up! Being off on the way up is pretty "normal" Zero it on the ground and then leave it alone. Dont tap it, adjust it, or screw with it in any other way. Thats only asking for trouble. If it seems off during your descent go to the back up. I.E. visual clues such as #1 other canopies (if you are looking up at a large # of canopies you should probably pull), the whirling planet below you. If you can see individual blades of grass you should probably pull. If you find yourself checking out the center fold of the porn mag that guy is reading in front of the hangar........I'd probably pull.. Well....remain calm. Get your JM's to show the EXACT body positions you need to be in for turns, flips, etc. Lay on the floor and get them to put your arms and legs in place. Remember! If you end up on your back, just arch. Dont swim, struggle, or "try" to flip back over. I have seen lord knows how many students have narrow disasters cause they werent doing as they were trained. Listen to the JM's.......they do know what they are talking about. Do what they tell you! I know this sounds simple but I have seen time and time again students not doing the "simple" tasks they were taught. Pat attention like your life depended on it.
