  1. Yes Tom, you're right! And I agree with all the guys are saying that when you have a minimal doubt about your setup, there's only a way: open and repack! Technically, I asked the same question (about jumping a longtime packed rig) to Karen at BR. I was specifically concerned about the "memory" of the ripstop after a long time, but she said me that if you don't have any doubt about your setup and pack job, you can jump without problem your rig also after months. She also said me that in past there were made some tests (I don't remember if done by BR or by other manufacturer) with skydiving reserves packed from a loooong time (4 years and more) and once jumped they opened perfectly in the same way of a recently packed canopies. However, personally I prefer to open and repack my rig after a period of more than 15 days. It gives me more confidence on the exit point. And well... it's only about 1 hour of your life... About routing the control lines on the guide rings on the risers when jumping slider up, I think that in the archive (or on the BLINC one) there's a thread about this, maybe interesting to read it again, but I tryed to make a search in the archive without results... Anyone can help? 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104
  2. ...but if you jump slider up you must have the control line inside the guide ring on your riser, while if you're jumping slider-down/off you must have your control lines outside the guide rings on the risers... 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104

  7. Well... that's a 700' A placed on the top of a 150' hill, close to the sea... A nice place! And for the rig I must say thanks to K763 from BR for the design... I love my rig!!! 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104
  8. Well... I've jumped my Vertex2 stowed and I haven't noticed any troubles in finding my PC... I feel it very well on my back, maybe thanks to the hip rings... However, it's my personal opinion... Anyone has other feedbacks? Here you some pics (sorry 4 the bad quality...) 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104
  9. Excellent rigs!!! I own a Vertex 2 and I'm very happy with it! Open corners, improved pins protections and riser covers protection. Later, I'll try to post some pics... A great BR product! I have seen the Prism 2 only on a pic, but it seems to have the same improvements... 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104

  14. Yes, is true! Loic is really an alien! That guy rocks! However, I'm feelin' better pulling in the recommended BirdMan technique... It's really simple and helps to mantain a symmetrical body position. 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104
  15. If I don't remember wrong, Loic in "Soul Flyers" movie pull using this technique... 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104
  16. this was also my point of view. But, in effect, my friend said that you must consider the way to jump technically that object. And, in effect, that S can be jumped only like an A... Just wondering... 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104
  17. Just talking with a friend... Jumping off the top of a pillar of a local S (the only possible exit point off that object), would be considered a S jump or an A jump? 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104

  19. If you check the new printed BR manual you can see they consider pin rig a good choice also for low altitude/delay... 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104

  21. Why to add some strange things on the container when you have the back deflector on the suit? It's simple, safe and it works! 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V. BASE #1075 / BMI #I-002 / PFI #042 / EGI #104

  24. I'm thinking to buy as my second rig (I already jump a velcro rig) a 2 pin rig. Since I'm not so experienced, I'd like your opinion. I don't jump actually a wingsuit in BASE, so this is not the main reason to turn to a pin rig... What's your favourite one and why? Thanks! C-YA! 3,2,1,C-YA!!! V.
