  5. I tried to get Perry to come to this again but he had other commitments for that weekend. Thus, you will have to savor you memories. I am sure he would be pleased to see us continue to spread the love and expand the wingsuit presence this year.
  6. Hey Gadget, Love to have you come to this!! Let me know if I can help help make it happern!!!!. Joni
  7. Couch Freaks is almost here. It is one of the largest boogies of the year, 2 Otters, a king Air and yes, a tailgate - Skyvan. There is no Scaryperry this year but I will be there with demos, organizing, and offering 1st jump courses, and I am not so scary. So there is no reason to stay away. Last year we had some nice 7 and 8 ways. As we have at least double the birds in NE alone, we should be able to double that. No excuses this boogie is right in the middle of the US, close to everyone. Come join the fun and the flock!! PM me for more info or check out the web site http://www.couchfreaks.com/ Joni
  8. I want to congratulate Brian, Ken, David, Jeremy and Jeff (Bogie), all of whom made not only their 1st wingsuit flight but several flights at LSPC's Redemption boogie in Nebraska. They all did an excellent job and made progress with each flight. Hope to see all of you in the sky again soon. Welcome to the Flock!! Joni
  9. In NE we jump from 182's all the time. Once you get use to it you can get some real nice exits from a 182. We have evev taken off 4-ways from a 182. See ya Sat! We can practice a 182 exit as well if you'd like. Joni
  10. The fun starts friday- just 6 days away- right in the middle of the US in Plattsmouth NE, just south of Omaha. I have just returned from the World Wingsuit Competition and Bigway event in Stupino Russia and can't wait to share what I learned there. In addition to my PFI rating I now also have a BMI rating. So whether it will be your 1st flight, your 1st flock or just one of many, lets get those wingsuits on and flying, and fill the skies with human birds!!! For more information www.skydivelspc.com Hope to see you there, Joni
  11. I look forward to meeting you - you will love it!! Joni

Thanks! It is an honor to be able to share the thrill of wingsuits with others! Joni BMI USA 40
  13. I may have only a very small one at this boogie.
  14. Agree wind speed and direction make a difference, but can be accounted for easily if known with a flight computer, either ahead of time or in a retrospective type flight plan. Pilots do it all the time. I have not bothered to do this as personally I am not that anal about the numbers in particular. Whether with the Neptune or the GPS, I look at the overall performance on a series of jumps usually before and after I have worked on something in particular. As I often jump alone it is sometimes my only feed back aside from the dive just feeling right. As long as I am making progress, it is good.
  15. I agree with Scott. I have been testing out a GPS with Paralog which I had been using with my Neptune. It works just as simply with the GPS as with the Neptune. It gives you all the information with the click of a button, plus it serves as a log book and keeps tract of all you jumps, including video if you are that ambitious. Keeping a record of the GPS data lets you compare your data today to that 6mo ago, which is a nice way to see how much you have actually progressed. Additionally Klaus has always been quick to respond and very helpful whenever I have had a question. You get your moneys worth.
  16. Come flock the midwest in Nebraska. LSPC's boogie is July 14-16 in Plattsmouth, NE just south of Omaha and Northe of Kansas City on Hwy 75. There will be a Twin Otter and Skyvan, great for putting together some flocks. LSPC now has 4 members with 6 wingsuits and several other experienced flyers. Come join us for some real flocking fun. I will have prodigy demos available and will be available for PF first jump courses or coaching. I can't wait to share what I learned at Z-flock and in Stupino with all the midwestern birds. You don't have to go south or to the coast to find a flock to fly with- come to Nebraska!! http://www.skydivelspc.com/Boogies/2006-Boogie/2006-Boogie-Main-Frame.htm Joni
  17. I would have been coming this year but it is the same weekend as our NE boogie and I need to be here because I am the only wingsuit instructor. We shuffle weekends so if there is not a conflict next year I will try to come and maybe bring some others with me. July is a busy month lots of boogies up north, but Houston is easier to get to from Omaha then some other places.
  18. Is anyone staying in Moscow for a while following the event?

  20. Thank you to Scott, the other organizers and everyone for a well organized event that included everyone and a great time! I especially need to thank Robi, Phoenix Fly, and the other sponsors for all the wonderful prizes. I still can't believe I actually won a Phantom, but at the same time I can't wait to get it. I am very glad I came and will look forward to the next time. Joni
  21. Sounds great! I can attend May 13-14 as I will be in Chicago on business on May 12 and can just plan on staying around for the weekend. Hopefully I can get to a few more, and I am always at Couch Freaks - so that one is definite, too! Thanks for taking the initiative Nathaniel and getting this started!
  22. Couch Freaks Dollar Days Boogie in Fort Dodge, IA over Labor Day is one of the biggest boogies in the midwest. Skydive Arizona brings up 4 or 5 of its fleet and it draws about 500 jumpers. Last year there was a small group of wingsuits (7 or 8) including ScaryPerry. It would be real nice to see a much larger flock this year. Wingsuits are still fairly new here but there is a lot of growing interest in them, so we should have several more birds by then. Perhaps some of you southern birds can fly north for a change. It would also be nice to have lots of demo suits for people to try and a great opportunity for BMI's or PFI's to bring new birds into the flock as well as.
  23. I just want to say thank you to Z-flock and all of the other birds for welcoming this midwestern bird into your flocks at Puerto Rico. While flying alone in these northern skies, I have been watching your videos and looking at your pictures dreaming of being a part of such flocks but never really imaging it would ever be possible. I am so glad I got to meet the wonderful people in the pictures. You made my dreams come true. Plus, your patient teaching gave me lots of good information which I can share with others here at home and utilize to continue to improve my flying skills. Special thanks to Omar, Mike and Perry for all your work. The flocks were phenomenal and I can't wait to see the videos. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again at Z-flock and dock in April! The skies definitely have no limits and wingsuits are only just beginning to soar. I hope you guys keep on growing, learning and expanding your limits, while maintaining your wonderful open attitude to sharing it with the rest of us. When everyone works together the possibilities surpass my imagination! Joni
