  1. I have an old tonysuit stingray (Tony first model) The legstraps go on over the outside of the suit.I suffer no lack of performance as a result of this "arcaic" design. Its tons of fun and virtually impossible to miss the legstraps being undone
  2. Would like to hear some input on a scenario I find unacceptable. Ever get on a plane and there are person(s) who refuse to put on a seatbelt. While taxi i ask, (Are you gonna put on your seat belt?) The reply was no. I ask the pilot to let me out because i'm not takeing off in this plane unless everyone is wearing a seatbelt. The pilot turns around taxis back to loading area. I unfasten my tandem student and get out of the plane. The dz manager is there to investigate the problem. I explain. he turns to the young lady fun jumper and tells her to put on her seat belt. She complies and we have an uneventful safe skydive. In retrospect I could have just kept my mouth shut and sacrificed the safety of my student, myself and all other jumpers on the load. Now I am disliked and considered to be the asshole who had the audacity,to insist that all jumpers comply with the most basic BSR.Seeking sugestions on how to handle this. She still doesn't wear the seatbelt. I can't fix stupid. or can I?
  3. Thanx Bill. The dzo has decided that when the kid is called in to pack,he gets the packs. Typically we are very busy and my son is a genuine asset to the dz. All efforts are being made in as much as we can do to increase volume. This is just a tough time of year for us. I made this post because I was enraged by the lack of respect this scenario presents. Was seeking solace in the opinions of others. I've looked at it from both sides now. I've cleansed the anger from my soul.....
  4. Thanx for your replies. perspective duely altered
  5. Im a tandem instructor at a small dz. just myself and 1 other instructor. Recently my son has started working with us as video editer and packer. mon thru fri is usually pretty slow. The other instructor wants to jump in and take away my kids pack jobs when he doesn't have jumps.
  6. Any suggestions on how to deal with greedy people working with you on the dz?
  7. Currently having similar issue. Blue lite on in standby,no lite during record, but recording occurs. Several attempts to contact hypeye only results in recorded message
  8. Save me a slot in your new flock. Blue skies baby, blue skies
  9. I bought my Neptune around jump number 100 when I bought my rig. I WAS very happy with all of its features. THEN....I started flying a wingsuit. Extended freefall time is enjoyed with the wingsuit BUT..The Neptune often fails to register exit altitude until I reach higher speeds. Often I am robbed of several thousand feet and many precious freefall seconds. My first attempt to get some help from alti via telephone resulted in a promise of an email which never happened. Months latter a second call I was told that the techs would be asked and I would be called back. I did receive the return call at which point I was informed that that's just the way it is. I wish now I had done more research before giving 250 bucks for a device that doesn't accommodate my favorite skydiving discipline. If your gonna fly a wingsuit you may wanna get something else :(
  10. I just bought one of tony's z suits. It is my first . I made my fifth wingsuit flight and my first z suit flight last saturday in st. marys. I dont know much yet about wingsuits as I am just begining,But i can tell you that I had a great time and hope the winds allow me to jump it again tomorrow
