  1. upjumpers are welcome 7 days a week and the weather this summer has been exceptionally good. even the thunder clouds the past week have not been a problem as they have been above 14k. friday is going to be a busy day with a bunch of tandems. there will be plenty of caravan loads going up, but im not sure how many upjumpers will be here.
  2. im sorry you feel your jump was ruined and that you will never be returning to sdsb. however, some of your "facts" are not correct. the camera man never said that he was busy talking, he tried to explain to you that he thought he pushed the record button but apparently didnt for whatever reason. he apologized profusely and offered you a discount as well as a full refund. as far as the followup interview goes, he offered to redo it for you but you declined the offer. i saw your video, and excepting the fact that your landing was not on it, it was a great video. your $20 refund represents 20% off the cost of your video. this amount was agreed upon by splitting the video up into fifths: interview, plane ride, freefall, landing/interview, and still film. im sorry you feel that your landing is the most important part of a skydive and should be valued more. it isnt, the freefall is, so if anything should be valued more that is it. as far as the experience of your instructor goes, all of the instructors at sdsb are tandem rated. they all have numerous jumps under their belts and have yet to demonstrate that they are not worthy or qualified to be instructors. im not sure what you mean when you say that your "fall suffered". you did not mention anything of the sort while you were here. if you have any serious complaints about the quality of your instructor, please feel free to call sdsb with them. i have been jumping at sdsb for a year now and have not had any problems. i did my tandems and aff here as well. the staff have always been friendly and helpful. it is a small dz, but it gets things done. the views are amazing, and while the landing area can seem a bit tricky, i have never had any problems with it. jamie b-27697
