  10. I was not that lucky. Broken left femur dislocated hip with 17" rod and 6 screws. Ortho says leg is fine for tandem, in emergancy PLF to right. NO AFF for at least another 4 months.
  11. Had traumatic injury while in AFF aprox. 10 weeks ago. Doing tandem skydive tomorrow to get back in the sky. Physicaly my leg is healed enough to do it. My stomach is ready to launch. My head is sending me mixed signals " What the hell are you doing you almost killed your self last time" , most of my brain and body is so wired to jump again I can't sit still. I love the feeling of flying, and the view under canopy is so incredible I don't want to ever land.
  12. I hear ya. I was a stupid student. Was set up on finnal, going great, instructor on radio tells me to give him a 90 right, I did that, then 90 left then more right I was thinking on where and why I was changing landing pattern and I was speeding up, the next thing I remember is OH SHIT I am landing HERE!!! FLARE!!! ( at about 4ft from ground) Thinking was too late, stress, or the brain lock thing. I smacked the ground and broke my Femur in half. It could have been way worse. I live to skydive another day. Thanks to every one at my DZ. So much care, love and support!!!
  13. I am also going blind in one eye and will probably go blind in the other also due to a tramatic eye injury. Thats why I started skydiving. I was concerned about the depth perception but I feel better now. Thanks for the info!! Blue Sky Rhonda
  14. I had a head injury, right orbital fracture and broken nose in four places one year ago. I have some menory problems at times, kind of like a rainman effect. I checked with my Neuro. he cleared me to jump. I have tramatic glacoma in my right eye and am going blind in it and that is what got me started in skydiving I want to do everything I can before I go blind. My specialist for my eyes said absoulutly no NIGHT JUMPS. So I recomend seeing a opthomologist, they can run tests and let you know. Hang in there it gets better. Blue Skys Rhonda
