  1. Had my first and only on jump #6. Static line and had a brake fire. I agree about the pschie. I had about 200 military jumps 28 years before and always wandered and worried about how I would handle the ep's. The mal on #6 certainly allayed all my fears and has made me more comfortable in the knowledge that I won't freeze up or panic. I still practise my ep's at least three times before every exit though.
  2. Well done, you're moving up in the world. Where to now??
  3. What a great post Tonto, very profound. Maybe we can make it part of all license requirements, as essential reading, just to remind us all of what we are about.
  4. I'm the same weight and age just two inches shorter than you. Aerodyne made a Solo 270 for me that was modified to be a large Pilot. Pilot only goes up to 230. Opens very smoothly and softly ever time. Flies very sportily and has a powerful flare. Really enjoy jumping it. Thats it in my profile. WL 1:1
  5. Adidas make skydive (sport) goggles with prescription inserts. I have used them for about six months now and they are the best and most comfortable I have jumped with so far. I use multifocal specs and have the exact presciption in my inserts so it is exactly as if I were wearing my specs with sunglasses.
  6. Pilot 270 Decelerator 250 Cypress 2 Icon Rig All in 14kg, 31 lbs
  7. Was at SCT on the 18th November and did two great jumps. Won't be down for a while now though. Going to AFFC in Mafeking, you going to be there?
  8. You bet, so do I. It's the greatest Exit 11 000ft AGL
  9. Well done Poms, anybody beating the Ozzies is great. Lets beat them in Oz next time. We'll be going all out to beat them as well. If you can, so can we. (SA)
  10. Thanks Peej, will do that. Don't worry nothing will stop me from keeping at it.
  11. Well, got my A License signed off on Saturday. What a great feeling to be "Licensed" at last. I took my time over it and am not sorry. I am really aware of everything going on in freefall and would not have enjoyed being licensed and still be rushing through tests etc not feeling 100% comfortable. At least now I am totally aware of everything going on, so much so the I have already passed Cat 2 Level 5 and if the wind had not intervened I would have completed both the Cat 2 test jumps on Sat as well. So, soon will be A ......
  12. Welcome to the most satisfying and exciting addiction that I've ever heard off. Enjoy every minute of it. I do, but it's just never enough.
  13. Well done, see you again on the 23rd, doing the Canopy Control Course, are you?
