  1. For a relining I need the Trim specs for a XAOS 27 - Size 72. The Trim specs on the Precision homepage actually does not work for me... Has anyone here in this Forum the possibility to post the Trim chard / Lineplan for that canopy? Sorry for my bad english... Thanks a lot for your support!!
  2. This accident seems to me as a "Soft-Reserve-Handle-Pull-Force" or so problem. And also a good example for the need to put AAD´s into rigs...Perhaps I am wrong, because my english is not so good... But I feel that this accident example is "not fair" to vote for or again this rig... People died also with other quality rigs...
  3. Nice Rig - good workmanship. It need´s only a little bit more PR... The most options are included. - The only extra is the padded backpad.
  4. A manufacturer has the right to do what he wants.... of course. But - (in my eyes only...) Sunpath makes a problem where no problem is. There are good reasons for skydivers all over the world to remove a RSL. So it would be a great thing for every rig manufacturer to keep the RSL as what it is: An option... A RSL can put more safty in a rig - but it can also create some problems I have not if I have no RSL, or isn´t? The manufacturer is not with me in the air if something does not work properly. What will say the lawyer - and my wife - to the manufacturer if there is a problem with an RSL ??? It could be a better choice for the manufacturer to let be this a personal problem from the skydiver. We mark the position RSL on the orderform - or not... Where is the real problem??? But in the worst case there is in the real world always an opiton: the option to buy a rig with a different label on it. (sorry for my bad english...)
  5. ...they told me yesterday that the first 10 sets (from 14 I have to get) are on the way to me.... (but till now the postman was not here...) Only four and a half months after grounding... The sets are ready since a while - but the guy who had to make the controls was in holidays. In August are all french in holidays - nothing works in France for a whole month... They have also moved their office in July. And the production moved from Mauritius to South africa (PISA) - it seems there is some trouble in the air... Don´t worry - when the season is over - you have also your sets too. It´s France...
  6. Ok - you are right, Tonto... what is normal...? What I mean is that the climate is one piece in the puzzle you must think for... High humidity, dust, hot dry or a damp climate may have effects on the "pack-conditons".
  7. Here in germany we have a repack-cycle of maximum 1 year. The cycle is given from the manufacturer. If a manufacturer wants a shorter cyle so it is... Personally I have no problem with one year. And all the reserves I inspectes with a one year repack cycle works properly. - But we have here "normal" weather conditions. In other climates it could be a shorter cycle the better way.
  8. We have the same problem... serveral weeks ago we reported the serial-numbers of the reflected parachutes - and till now we have not the neccessary kits. It seems that PdF has delivery problems with parts (Slider Grommets). - Involved are between 800 - 1000 Techno 240 Reserves. A official statement would be a simple but good working idea for us (the customers) to understand the problems they have.
  9. The LOR 2 needs a special loop if a Cypres is in use. The regular cypres loop has a diameter of 1,7 mm - the LOR 2 Loops have 1,5 mm each. They are fixed on the bottom end and goes both through the same holes in the Cypres alu-plate and of course through the one cutter. - A Two-Pin Cypres is not needed. For riggers: To put the pull up cords through the cutter is a little bit tricky... I take two cypres pull ups 1,7 mm and make fingertraps on the loops ends - so there is not so much material which must goes through the EOS. - The LOR 2 Cypres Loops comes only from Parachutes de France or their dealer network. They are not really chaep: about 4 € / each loop-set. But the system works good. On our DZ all student rigs and the Atom Tandem rigs are equipped with this RSL System. - It prevents a reserve opening before both risers are released. (sorry for my handmade english... )
