  1. I like Skydive Deland, You can tent camp, and they have housing cheap within biking distance. You can rent a room in a house with others that are traveling. Skydive City, and Sebastian are cool to. But loads everyday in deland!

  14. I just bought a 182, Its in great shape and Id like to keep it that way. With this in mind I would like to establish GUIDE FOR MY PILOTS So everyone uses the same technique with Climb settings and such
    Does anyone have an 182 operations manual they use at their DZ They would share with me?
    I have a 1961 C182D with an O470 with cowl flaps, 3 Blade prop, droop tips.

  17. I Tried it once AT Pepperell, MA That cruise lite went under me like a bat out of hell, then me and my PC went through the BURBLE, never tried again.

    Then on a trip to TURNERS FALLS, I had a case of beer bet on closest to the target, we did a two way, opened up with good seperation, both the same distance from the target, DOWNWIND, so i did 2 quick 360's (now its a cool 720 who new, ahead of my time again) and right in front of me is my buddy on his pigilet!CANOPIES COLLIDED, I WOUND AROUND HIM LIKE A STRIPE ON A BARBER POLE,
    TILL I RAN OUT OF LINES , OUR BODIES HIT, AND WE UNWOUND, AND WENT OUR SEPERATE WAYS,,, good thing we were to stupid to react and cutaway this was at around 700ft,, SO WE CALLED IT A STACK ATTEMPT!
    well actually there were these 82cnd airborne old guys having their annual get together , and thats what they called it and asked how they could acomplish such a feat, so we went with it.

  24. Igot to ride up front on one of his tandem probationary jumps, we decided I would pull but forgot to attach the handle to the harness.
    It came to pull time I reached got a little pucker then looked over my shoulder at Gary,, He was looking at me like WELL,,I was lookin at him like WTF! WE stared at each other for a couple seconds,
    Then he started laughing as he realized I didnt have a handle to pull!!
