  1. Just wanted to know if anyone knew of any windtunnles in northern NJ or NYC? I'd like to "test the watres" before making my 1st jump! Thanks
  2. Just interested in hearing any first time experiences. I'm looking to make my first jump soon. What can I expect? Anything I should look out for??
  3. Thanks guys, after some research it's looking like Cross Keys is the place to go. Do you recommend a specific time of the year? I hear Mid summer is not good because ther's too many people??
  4. Thanks for the heads up! I never heard of this scam and was close to calling them! I'm considering Freefall Adventures. Any comments about these guys? They seem like a good place going on the reviews on this site...
  5. That doesn't answer the question, and apparently you completely failed to grasp my point. I'll spell it out for you. You're comfortable driving in a car, even though 40,000 people a year die in car accidents in America, because you trust your vehicle to perform as expected, and you trust your own defensive driving skills. You can also learn to trust your parachute equipment and your skydiving skills. Then it will feel just as safe as driving a car. Is that better for you? JohnRich, no I get your point. BUT a car offers alot more protection then a say, a motorcycle wouldnt you say? If your going to collide with another vehicle at 60 miles in hour would you rather to be in a car or a motorcycle? My guess is a car. If theirs a malfunctionin a shoot the only thing protecting you from the ground is your own ass. There is no bubble of protection. In a car you have protection on impact, There's the steel, air bag and a seat belt. So thats my point. I love a good debate!

  7. Actually I read someware that Tandem jumping is considered hazardess and "experimantal". Dont know where I read that...
  8. Anyone been to any of these places? www.skydivejerseycity.com or http://newarkskydiving.com/ ?
  9. Maybe it's me and I've never done this either but It would seem to me that base jumping is safer and more controlled since you're holding the shoot in your hand. Or am I just crazy??
  10. Well i'm in Northern NJ/NYC area. Is anyone familiar with any reputable skydiving places in this area?
  11. Well, if i'm jumping out of a perfectly good airplane with someone strapped to my back I want my them to have excellent judgment and a hell of alot of experience!
