  1. Hi, I just wanted to metion something I discovered recently that I think would be absolutely fantastic for all skydivers. It's Bikram Yoga. Yoga done at 37 degrees celcius. I'm on an intensive course (going every day for 30 days) and I've really noticed my flexibility increase. There are also alot of arching poses on the floor which really strengthens the back. Not to mention weight loss. I'm going to promote it the dz this Saturday. I totally recommend it to all skydivers. "Let the jumping begin!"
  2. On my AFF stage 3, slammed into a tree at 50km an hour and survived. My advice: try to avoid obstacles. Took a long time but I managed to triumph over tragedy and came back to it... "Let the jumping begin!"
  3. Yeh those guys are really wicked...dropzone and cutaway were the best B grade movies I've ever seen "Let the jumping begin!"
  4. Just rub her nose in it...if it really is her problem. If not, maybe you should rub your own nose in it and put yourself down. I mean seriously, would you really consider putting your cat down over this? What kind of person are you? Maybe you should jump out of an aeroplane without a parachute. If you survive, then you should consider what to do. If not, then it was meant to be. "Let the jumping begin!"
  5. I really love skydiving. It it the most intense experience I have felt. I dream about it. I fantasize about it in any spare moment. But when I read the fatalities....I just think what the fuck and why.... "Let the jumping begin!"
  6. Thanks guys for your info. I'd love to go to Bedford!! Do you know how many pomme (English) skydivers are in Australia? About 50% of every bloody dropzone around the Brisbane area. Just an observation...but I know it's because of the beautiful weather and blue skies in Australia that makes it the best place to skydive in the whole world. Anyaway..thanks for your link Paige...I've been to your website and it;s fantastic...perhaps I'll meet you in your wind tunnel or in the air some day!! "Let the jumping begin!"
  7. Hi, I'm really interested in training in a wind tunnel before progressing further on my AFF. Has anyone been to the wind tunnel in New Zealand? (I'm from Australia and I don't think there is one here). Or alternatively, I want to go to the biggest and best whereever it may be around the world. What are your recommendations and how much can I expect to pay? "Let the jumping begin!"
  8. I've never paid for a jump...tandem or solo....but I've also convinced around 120 people (so far) to go skydiving....bring them business and they will bend over backwards to support your skydiving career...hanging around the dz and doing nothing will get you nowhere!! You could also become a packer and work off your jumps.. "Let the jumping begin!"
  9. Well there's heaps of Japanese and Korean English students jumping at Ripcord Skydivers in Brisbane, Australia...so maybe it's just your neck of the woods... "Let the jumping begin!"
  10. Thanks for your advice and message Andrea! I've just come back from the DZ and the jump was fantastic!!! I'm back in the sky again and lovin' it! I was slightly nervous before but freefall felt totally natural and right...the mountains as the sun was setting was also beautiful!!! What a great day!!! "Let the jumping begin!"
  11. Thanks Lisa Marie!! I couldn't have done it without my amazing oesteopath and my beautiful mum (who is a qualified massuse). I guess it depends on what the experience of skydiving means to you to ascertain if you would continue if something happened to you. I have never experienced anything like it in any other facet of my life...total freedom and exhiliration...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about!!! "Let the jumping begin!"
  12. Hi! My name is Marney from Australia. I am really excited tonight as I am doing my first jump in a year tomorrow morning. It has been a real struggle to get my health back to what it was after a skydiving accident a year ago but I have spent a year looking at the sky and dreaming and now it is really gonna happen again! Can't wait!!! "Let the jumping begin!"
