  1. Haven't read the whole thread so apologies if repost - but see my sig line Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  2. I bet he knew the Zodiac killer too. And Jack the Ripper. And the Roswell aliens... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  3. Jo, the word "awesome" is used in the Bible. Is there something we should know? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  4. I have in the past seen the formatting errors as Jo describes, but I do not see any at the moment. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  5. I see no formatting problems either. (and even if there were I would hardly call it "terrible trouble"!) Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  6. Brilliant idea. Hint: He's not here. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  7. To be frank, I don't care. I just wish both of you would stop wasting bandwidth and time on this. (I only scanned your post and saw my name. I didn't actually bother reading it, like I don't read Knoss's; I see the first sentence, see how long it is, roll my eyes and scroll to the next post, desperately hoping it isn't more of the same.) To be honest I have been checking this forum far less frequently than I used to. Ramblings about Weber , whether from you or Knoss, (and, sorry Blevins, those about Christiansen) that add NOTHING other than repeating over and over and over again what has already been said is just a waste of time. Anything of value has to be really looked for between all the crap ...and that is the death knell of a thread like this, at least if anyone out there still thinks it should be taken seriously. 8. FFS. Can Bob and Jo please take these long involved who did or didn't know Duane when somewhere else please. Until one of you actually manage to produce one tiny little piece of evidence[\b]. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  9. I think the term "don't feed the trolls" is the best approach BK has done two things for this thread: 1. Strengthen the argument of those who say it is a waste of bandwidth 2. Provide a yardstick against which Jo's leaps of logic and conspiracy theories look positively rational. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  10. I'm loving this discussion about snow. It's about, like, REAL stuff. With evidence and everything. And no conspiracy theories. What a refreshing change We were caught in the NYC blizzard in Dec 10 and we loved it ....not often we get to see any snow, much less that much. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  11. My reading is that Cooper had a fair idea what could be done, but not how to do it. I'm wondering now about the loadmaster angle. Wouldn't a loadmaster have been responsible for opening the door as well? So that is perhaps an argument against a loadmaster. (I have quite liked the loadmaster theory until now.) Re Mexico....well, for heavens sake no hijacker is going to say "I plan to jump over X, please drop me there" right? Get the plane as far away, give the FBI a much larger potential search area to maximize your chances of not being found. This thinking kind of argues against the fact that Cooper knew there would be a pressure bump on exit. (or if he did that he 'faked' it earlier than he jumped). Aw nuts.... This is like trying to analyze an economy with 2 single unrelated data points Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  12. Cooper curse = more than one person here this all applies to.... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  13. Trumpet - Piano Obviously very well... As an aside... A friend's parents met when he played trumpet in a band and she went to watch them
  14. Georger - what instrument/s do you play? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  15. ...which is probably why Blevins doesn't want her there. She is his biggest competitor theory at the moment... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  16. uhhhh... at the risk of sounding like someone else, what on earth makes you qualified to judge this? especially given your own vested interest in the matter? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  17. Ah, ok. And re what you say, this is exactly why Blevins should allow her to speak. Otherwise it looks like he is scared of her
  18. Hello Jerry and happy new year! Surely you don't think Blevins will give an objective synopsis of Marla??! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  19. This. No-one has any solid evidence of anything. Let people make their own minds up about circumstantial evidence and motivations. Preventing people from speaking just casts doubts on the organiser's own motivations. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  20. your excuses ring a bit hollow, Blevins. If you pick and choose based on your personal biases, I wouldn't expect anyone to take your symposium particularly seriously. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  21. Thanks 377... Ah, the Quade post sounds worthwhile looking for The Desert Boogie was on in Swakopmund while I was there... Felt weird not to be jumping at it... Watched the plane from the dunes... Shared a pitstop with an Avgas tanker briefly...lots of little airstrips all over southern Africa. Reading a book called "skeleton coast" by John Marsh... True story of a rescue along the coastline which will appeal to the boy's own adventure types....I'm reading the first edition which has some stuff unrevealed as it was written during ww2 but a kindle version has just been released which I believe is able to name some more names etc. (the Namibian coast is called skeleton coast because of the number of shipwrecks, and those who made it ashore were met with nothing but desert and searing heat). Anyway that is off topic, but what isn't is that I met a couple of people in Nam who I would have sworn were in their mid to late 40s but turned out to be mid 30s, having spent a lot of time outdoors in that harsh environment, which made me wonder again about the reliability of eyewitness estimates of Cooper's age. 22. Hi all... Happy new year... Just back from a wifi-less road trip through Namibia... And not so keen on reading through the 20-odd pages I missed... Any new developments? Any new evidence? Any resolution either way on Marla? Developments on Mel? Thanks in advance and sorry for the laziness.... Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  23. Belated happy birthday Hangdiver
  24. Yeah I recall that too. Not sure whether it is fox and grapes or just because post-event justification sounds better. It's Christmas, so do I not ask why we are subjected to all sorts of stuff about Blevins and AB that have nothing to do with Cooper? Hmmm... I'll mull that one over. In the meantime, wishing all of you (yes all of you, even the ones that I harangue occasionally) who celebrate Christmas, a peaceful and blessed one. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
  25. The POOF affliction! Are you sure the FBI wasn't involved? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
