I am so tired of losing people! Steve... what can I say? Adam my heart goes out to you. I have no words. We met in Montreal 2006 and I remember fondly the time we spent together. I don't have enough fingers or toes to count all the losses I've endured in the pursuit of flight...and it never gets easier. I just have to say how sad this news makes me...sad, and tired. Can I join even though I'm hard of hearing? I can pass as a hearing person, but I can also sometimes pass as a Deaf person. My softie is comfortable and I could wear it all day long when I'm flying (but that does't build much confidence with my passengers-mine is not a jump plane!). These rigs are easy to pack and just an all around great design! The company is outstanding in customer service, knowledge, and quality. You can't go wrong with a softie.

I love my Argus. I have had trouble with other AAD units and I decided to give the Argus a try. I was completely surprised to see how small the unit is when I packed it into my rig! I like it! I've had no problems with it. My only concern is where the control panel sits on my Javelin. It seems vulnerable to a door strike and it looks fragile. My friend had one that cracked a few years ago, so i'm really careful with mine. I like the multi-function ability and the field replaceable batteries. The colors are great too! (it matches my rig).

Right On Jeff. I was looking around this forum, with tears in my eyes...having just lost another friend today, i was feeling nostalgic. I stumbled again across this post. I have been thinking about "the big cone". Though he and I never really agreed on anything, we were always friends, and he could make me laugh like no one else. I was cone head number 4 (If memory serves). My best friend, Kirk Edison (1962-1978) bestowed the name "CONE HEAD" upon the King brothers just before he went in. And to my recollection, he was #3, which would make me #4. I'm sure I have certificate somewhere. Ancient history, that! Anyway. I miss you, and hope to see you soon. So Shocked! Talking to Cheeto today he told me that Herb had passed, as I was asking about and waiting for word of herb's improvement. I will never forget his giggly, edgy way of being. I'll never forget the time when he sat watching me pack my round reserve upstairs at kapowsin, as we talked about where we first met and all the many dear firends we had in common. To My friends in Skydive Hawaii where I first met Herb, and my friends in Kapowsin where I ran into him again. Let us never forget how quickly time passes, and how easy it is to say "I love you" even though it often seems needless so we choose to let it wait for another time. We gamble on future opportunities. Herb, you goofy, obnoxious, unique, wierdo! YOU WERE LOVED and I hope you knew it. A great big man who has left a great big empty space..King, the Big Cone Head. I was there thirty years ago when he started jumping, so many stories, so many laughs, so many friends left behind. I was on the plane the day before it went in. I took the day off and my friend who took my slot went in with the plane. I'm shooting from memory here...but here is the list to best of my recollection: Jamilee Kempton (age 18) Dean "Bushy" Bushong (took my slot) Marilyn Bushong Bob "Lucy" Lockwood Mark Leverenz (Got out; didn't survive) Bob Bandes Jim Schill Terry Cafferty Ken (Newman?) I can remember his face but not his last name) Two Pilots (I don't know their names). I might be forgetting someone, but I think there were 9 memorials that Summer... There will be a 25 year memorial this August 21st. Many of the survivors will be there. I see some of them regularly. My heart still breaks when I think of that day; in fact...I'm tearing up now.
