  1. I don't know if its the same, but bump n' jump is kitesurfing gear. If you look for some of the other manufacturers like brunotti, da kine and protest, you will find that some of them do hardwearing pants and shorts in quite funky designs which should be quite good and different to anything else on the dropzone. 2. Not unless i go to the empuriabrava xmas boogie!! Or come out and visit all you folks in the us..... (when i win the lottery!) (btw lisa, i had started typing you a pm but then i stopped because i figured i had annoyed you enough with my questions! ) you have a good point though - i might have made enough money to at least start eating again by december... 3. They want 200$ for it - but plus batteries and service would take it over 400 - correct? Never try to eat more than you can lift
  4. Could someone please help - i am looking at a Cypres DOM 9/96 which has not had any services and also needs batteries. My options are - as far as i can tell 1. avoid like the plague 2. Buy, and service now(4yr), and then service again before december (8yr) 3. Buy, just put new batteries in for now and wait to get it serviced until september (if so, would a rigger install it in my new rig without it being serviced first and would this be a particularly bad idea) I am really keen to get hold of a cypres for my new rig and my budget to have something that is ready to go is about 4-500 dollars. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much out there. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Blues dave Never try to eat more than you can lift
  5. Thanks - thats what i was hoping Hopefully might get cat 10 soon and then other people in the sky with me won't be such a novelty!! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  6. I didn't intentionally go out to jump "with" them, i left (what i thought was) a good 8 to 10 seconds, i just happened to be able to see them quite clearly which i was not expecting (normally i seem to be totally alone in freefall!). For that exact reason i also didn't do some of the loops and rolls i had been intending so i didn't lose track of where they were. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  7. Ok - I agree with points made, but what constitutes a lurk? I did a solo the other day, and although i thought i left plenty of separation and the JM said i was cool to go, once i exited i was still able to see the 2 way that had gone out before me quite easily. I was pulling high anyway but i did make a point of keeping an eye on them in case they tracked in my direction - so is a lurk where you are within touching distance or is it just a measure of intention? (sorry that sounds a bit convoluted but my brain has stopped working) Never try to eat more than you can lift
  8. Thats me!!!! And Kelly and Lisa were both unbelievably helpful with everything i asked so thanks guys. Looking forward to seeing my new baby Never try to eat more than you can lift
  9. Big into Jack Johnson at the moment - course he might be mainstream in the us already.... Never try to eat more than you can lift
  10. Hi guys - have been looking at all the pictures as i am ordering mine as soon as i am measured (can't wait!) Just a couple of questions, extra wide leg straps yes/no? parapak yes/no? and the perennial mini or standard 3 ring and narrow or wide riser question??!! I think I will probably go with the cordura, wide leg straps and standard risers and rings, but i just want to see what everyone else has. Oh, and mine will be the best looking rig out there! 11. I was once told that you should try anything once except morrisdancing and incest. I'm not sure this applies here though You guys need to so some more work! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  12. Have you checked this? It may be different in the US but in the UK the sv650 is about 6 groups lower than any of the supersports bikes - due to being a v twin it makes about 20 bhp less than any of the 600cc inline 4's Thats why i bought one - originally i wanted a gixer but the insurance was crippling. Bought the sv with the fairing lowers (makes it fully faired) and have never looked back!! And the torque makes it so much fun to ride! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  13. Hmm - very tempted myself on one of these - managed to ride one the other day, awesome. New kwaka is nice though as well. Choices choices!! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  14. Yet again Michele, its all in the telling!!!!! I wanna go! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  15. I second everything just said - I needed some advice pretty quickly today so emailed lisa - reply back within an hour and very helpful it was too!!! And lisa - if i ever do get over there i will no doubt be dragged kicking and screaming into the shop by my credit card which seems to have a mind of its own these days.....
  16. Frist bike was a Yamaha Fazer (600) had that for about 6 days before i wrote it off but now have an SV650S abd love it. Would recommend one to anyone. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  17. I'm in a similar position on a skymaster 230 - I can make it turn if i hang all my weight off one, but i need to book a date in the diary first! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  18. Looks like a good workout Dave - I'm only a newbie so have no idea of the stress a TM goes through but I am writing some similar workouts for elite surfers currently. The only thing i would stress, ESPECIALLY for people who maybe don't work out much, is to finish this at least 48 hours before you jump the first few times to let your body recover, and stretch a lot, otherwise the risk of muscle/ tendon/ ligament damage will increase rather than decrease. Molto respecto for you TM's carting around passengers though!! Never try to eat more than you can lift

    Windsurf

Hey there, I have windsurfed for about 10 years and now teach kitesurfing - kitesurfing is much easier to get to a decent level at. (I also think its a lot more fun becaus it is easy to play in 3 dimensions rather than just 2) If you want to know anything about kitesurfing drop me a PM and I'll do my best to help out.
