  1. In that case, I would definitely get the bridle velcro fitted...should cost less than $10...The last thing you want is a great loop of bridle flapping about in freefall...causing premature, or even worse, out of sequence openings... --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
  2. The key word here is old...The current preferred setup for RSLs on Atoms is the double RSL, setup exactly the same as you mention, but with two pins that the reserve ripcord pulls. found a piccy off of PdeF's website......bigger than 60K...won't let me upload...go to www.parachutes-de-france.com to see it... (I'll post it tonight when I get home to a decent puter!) Ru. --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
  3. I believe Deronde is referring to the default RSL setup for an Atom, which is to have a double RSL, leading to double pins through double loops, both through the normal single central grommet... Gotta love those French. Deronde: Go to your local rigger, they should be able to retrofit the RSL for you. (If you really want it...) --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies

    Beeswax

I use Beeswax to "de-fur" brake lines on kits with velcro toggles...The beeswax smoothes and partially protects the lower brake lines from being damaged by the hook velcro on the risers. --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
  5. In Britain, If a battery/service is due before the end of the 6 month cycle, the Record of Inspection reflects this as the repack due date can be set to be the end of the month the batteries are due. Do you not have this flexibility in cycle length in the States? --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
  6. Hehe....A Teardrop 1-Pin Pop-Top is probably the easiest rig on the market to close... Having said that, 2-Pin Pop-Tops of all descriptions are a complete pain in the arse! PS I love my Teardrop SF, easily the best value rig on the market.

    VIGIL

He did more than just say that it's lifted... Look at the attachment to his post entitled: "Levee d'interdiction" or "Lifting of ban" --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
  10. Sounds a bit like a flat Pro-Pack, where the kit is laid out on it's side as for a flat pack, and then stacked as per a pro pack...Ending up like: as opposed to normal flat pack:
  11. Would you go into details for me on PM? It's kinda hard to accept total dismissal of a canopy without something backing it up... So far I've heard mention of (Edited to add:) Samurai, Heatwave, X-fire2, Vengance, and Nitron canopies as alternatives... Does anyone jump these 170s at a decent wingloading? ie >1.4 --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
  12. Has anyone here actually jumped a Cobalt 170 at a decent wingloading? I am considering getting one, but I'm having a nightmare trying to get hold of a demo...Atair basically told me that I had no chance... I have 800 jumps on a Sabre 190 at wing loadings between 1.3 and 1.55, and I feel ready to move up (down!) in the world of canopies...(I would be loading the 170 at just under 1.5...) Thanks advance for all opinions... --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
  13. Enjoy the Sabre 190, they are awesome canopies...I have done over 800 jumps on mine, and after a recent replacement of the lines, it's flying better than ever... Talking of which...has anyone here ever relined a Sabre 190? --- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
