  1. Amen to that, I tried to quit once after about 7 years in the sport, sold my rig the whole nine yards. Wasn't really fun anymore because all my friends had quit jumping, lots of jerks with attitudes at the DZ's (especially staff and pickup RW), also I had hurt my back (not related) ...so in short, I thought I could walk away...but then I found out about 3-4 months later I was miserable .... bought another rig, and now I jump when I want (once a month or so). Its all about the sky to me, can't imagine ever not jumping again.
  2. I had a friend once who used to tumble out on poised exits when he was beginning skydiving. He got nervous about it and made it worse. What worked everytime was getting himself to relax and look back at me in the plane as he exited. Looking back up at the plane as long as possible when doing a poised exit puts you in a nice arch. It also gives your mind something to concentrate on instead of worrying about performance. Who cares anyway, we are not getting paid for this....I hope you have some great fun jumps!
