  1. I don't see the big deal. The photo they take is so degraded it's only good for Facebook
  2. This was mounted on the rear door of one of our Skyvans. Keep in mind you must have any permanent mount inspected by the FAA. A grey area is tape mounts. They are not considered permanent
  3. I happen to have over 200 jumps on this G2 with a Hero 3 Mounted onto the Cookie Pivot Point using my own design Quick Lock that works like a PL mount lens. I have had riser strikes but mostly I control the openings by forcing the risers wide during opening. I also jump a 119 Crossfire 2 with a wing loading of about 1:9 I do use a cut away system and the Quick Lock uses plastic screws like my Articulating Bracket
  4. We are working on a design we have that should be at your dealer in about a month. Contact Antigravity Base for more info Blue Skies Terry Schumacher
  5. It is a friction fit. The bushing on the step ring will hold everything tight, you will not get any shake. If you want put some foam tape on the lid so that when it closes it will squeeze down. Not too much as this will distort the plastic camera. Blue Skies Terry SchumacherQuote
  6. If you need a dril template give me a call or E mail me I will send one no charge Terry Schumacher [email protected]
  7. Send me your address I will send you some for Free. If you want you can get them from McMaster Carr they are about 5 bucks for 100 6-32 x 3/8" Nylon Terry Schumacher
  8. Schumacher makes a nice Friction Fit Case with an option of a cool lens hood designed to protect the Century Optics .3
  9. Just load the software that came with the Camera. Works great and lets you capture Stills
  10. This is a new CX-150 Box I make, Mine is a Friction Fit but you still need about 1/2" for the Hypeye. You could carve into the helmet to clear the plug. Most Bonehead Helmets have 3/4 of an inch before you hit skin Good Luck Terry [email protected]
  11. Terry Schumacher makes several Boxes, One for the CX-100 and one for the CX-110/150. Both are friction fit. They come with the 30mm to 37mm step ring and a lens bushing used to center the lens, It also comes with the hardware for mounting. If my photo comes out you will see the case with an Optional lens hood to fit the Century Optics .3. This lens hood when used replaces the lens bushing used with or without any other lens. Made from High Impact ABS Plastic. It has a smoothe surface as not to rash up the Aircraft. You can get one at most Gear Shops or E Mail Me [email protected]
  12. I make an all ABS box thet requires no bolting the camera in. The Camera fits with no side play. The lens area uses the standard 30 to 37 step ring and if you are jumping a large diameter wide angle lens you can get an optional lens hood shown in this photo. There is a OD groove which the Box closes over holding the lens and hood secure. FYI my hood will aslo fit the Cookie Box.

  14. Hi Spot, Now I know you have this on your mind. How long before the public can Record and Play Back 3-D I know you need a New 3-D TV and a 3-D Blur Ray and the footage recorded I'M guessing from two Cameras. Can you shed any light on this.
  15. This is my new CX-100 Camera Case. I use the Century Optics .3 so I needed a hood that would protect the Lens. You can see a groove around the hood, this fits inside the Face Hole in the camera case. This hood also fits the Cookie Box as well. The case is small, you can leave the strap in tact but it is in the way so I cut it off. There is no bolting of the camera, just slip it in, close the cover and go skydive. Fits the Large Sony and Grey Market battery and I alsh make one just for the stock small Sony Battery. Made from ABS Plastic and comes with a 30mm to 35mm step ring
  16. This is the Schumacher CX-100 Box. Made from billet ABS with an aluminum hinge. The box is made so the camera slips into it with no need for bolts. It comes with everything you need including the 30 to 35 step ring. In the photo the box has the optional hood for the Century Optice .3 You can Get these at Square 2 or contact terry. 17. Schumacher makes a Case that Does Not use the Tripod Bolt. The Camera just slips into a slip fit Case, Cover shuts and you are ready. There is no need to remove the Camera Strap but Straps suck for Camera Flying so I would remove it.
  18. I don't think that the Hypeye d pro has anything to do with the zoom. I will ask Trunk Sunday 10-18-09
  19. Spot, is there a cable in existance that has the small USB like the CX-100 on one end and a Fire Wire on the other end? I have a Canopus Card with the front mounted Firewire/AV in/out that I would like to use or is Firewire dead?
  20. I have found that Really Right Stuff does not in my opinion have enough pressure closing to be used for Skydiving. Let me go on and say I love there products. What I have done is found the bent washers they use and added two more. With the added washers I feel safe that my 5D mark II WILL BE THERE WHEN I LAND
  21. Glad you came out safe Matt. During the testing and and prototyping I did a jump with a Pilot Chute attached to nothing but the ringsight. I thought it might rip my head off but when I piched it out the ringsight went away with easy. Hint: If you find your ringsight how to get the nylin bolts out: Heat a small screwdriver up with a heat source (Match, Candle, Stove top ect) push into the nylon screw and make a new screwdriver slot, let cool and use the same now cool screwdriver to remove!
  22. Great Idea, That is why on the Removable Articulating Bracket I produce it only comes with Nylon Screws. FYI I have 6 Documented saves all with pilot chute or some part of the canopy entangeling with the ringsight due to one of two things. Bad Body Position, or holding the Pilot Chute to long/pitching forward
  23. The case in the photo is made from a solid block of acrylic. Machined out then polished. It looks nice but acrylic is week. I will be producing this case made from solid Black ABS. Its hard to see in the photos I used but the neet part on this case is the hood for the Century Optics .3. There is no way to bolt on this hood so this is what I came up with. The hole in the camera case is 1.700 in dia and .125 wall thickness. The hood has a modifed "O" ring groove that fits the 1.700 case hole. The ID of the hood is 1.575 which matches the 1.575 on any 30mm to 37mm step ring. the parting line of the case is on centerline with the lens. Put the step ring on the camera, place the hood over the step ring, screw on the baby death, no need to remove the rubber schroud or bolt the camera in. My dimensions are so close that there is no rattle. close the lid over the groove in the hood then the case is held closed with a stock 1" altimeter wrist strap. The case also fits the Century Optics .55. My lens hood also fits the Cookie Composites CX-100 box and You can use the extended battery.
