Ground Launching, SpeedFlying, Bladerunning Etc.
blackdog replied to Bolas's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
like Will said above.. if you have never flown entirely on rear risers before it falls in the advanced canopy class ie. crossbraced sub 100sf. It absolutely will be the fastest canopy on the hill. Why not just get a GLX? -
Ground Launching, SpeedFlying, Bladerunning Etc.
blackdog replied to Bolas's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
spoken like a true swooper with a sail cloth canopy ...IMHO the best material for GL wings. maybe best for a new thread but did anyone see the ad from Ozone in Parachutist for the Bullet...it begs the question if you are not a paraglider, where do you fly besides back country? For example your Aeros canopy would not be allowed in the US at US Paragliding Assc sites, ie The Point in Utah or Torrey Pines in San Diego. The last inquiry at TP resulted that you needed to be an expert paraglider to fly a Bullet. As skydivers/swoopers we know this to be false. Interesting how grey the area is......will they get it someday, really rhys....? -
speed flyers/ground launchers in nor cal?
blackdog replied to rhys's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
all over it rhys in LA presently but am near you on the coast. just put up another short vid from the beach dunes. I was sorta near the PG hill. I have more than a few places in mind, bandit runs etc. SOON though! through pms I am getting a small network together of pilots who are around us and ready to fly with peers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdthUgmyBEE -

Swoop camp with Bundy Taylor
blackdog replied to Peterkallehave's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
agreed, Bundy rocks....well worth the time and money to anyone at any skill level. Grab Duane Hall if he's around also. Both are great resources for canopy pilots -
Curious of others with Tibial plateau fractures and the final range of motion returned to the knee. I was pretty flexible before my break and am back to about 120degrees now. Accident was end of June. 10 titanium screws and a titanium plate to hold the pieces together. Just started physio a month ago and have gained 30degrees since. But can't run or hop yet. Any input is appreciated.

Somehow I'd think tunnel guy BRAD would like a name! Doh! Thanks! I see him at the tunnel, but I couldn't remember his proper name. Btw, before Brad knew my name, he recognized me from DZ.com pics. He called me Vanillaskygirl a couple of times. I didn't really know him, so it freaked me out a little. Ok, now both Brad and I should remember each other's names... i m not sure that's me in the pic taking Gia's husband from behind, sadly...., but Keith and I did split that tequila..hmmm...And now, no, I will never forget Rosas name, or Nicks , or Keiths, but what were the dogs names?
-
Keith you don't remember that one thing and then the thing that happened with the pool....just kidding it was a blast to finally meet all of you last night! That one tiny shot of tequila I still felt when jumping today. Hope to see you guys again. I can't imagine how hung over you guys must be...ouch Post the pics Rosa!

Pint Size Tunnelflyers - Post your pictures!!
blackdog replied to Bodyflight.Net's topic in Wind Tunnels
WOW those kids rock!! They are going to have amazing confidence as they grow older I bet. -
The only thing they will ever have close to a wind tunnel in Dixon is an upright manure spreader.... i think Gridley would be a better sports center than Dixon; or maybe Artois......sorry i just had to....lol But a NorCal tunnel would rock!
-
my sentiments exactly.......i can't wait to see al you ppl....I hope I am not going to be puking those words the next day as I jump
