Try to download the program which is mentioned in the begining of this tread. I have a Mac an had the same problem, so I downloaded this VLC-player (free). http://www.videolan.org/ Peter -
I'm not looking in to buy the Neos/getting a new canopy this season, and therefore didn't wanted TJ to explain it all. The reason I asked, was out of curiosity for Icarus products in general. I also find it strange, that you can order the canopy, but Icarus haven't released any info (which is available for everybody) about the canopy.
-
Do you know when (in weeks or months) Icarus is going to have the new website ready?
-
Niiiiiice Very well cut and put together. I like the "fotomix" where you zoomed in and out on peoples faces. Good choice of music, fits the video very well. The video also contains a good mix af freeflying, canopypiloting / swooping and partying. It must have taken you many hours to put this video together. Graet job. PS: I like the pink reserve, did you buy it from Barbie?

I have heard a lot from you guys here in this forum, and it was great info. But like piisfish says, I need some info from Icarus themselves. Just like when any other canopymanufacturer make a new product, they also produce some kind of info (flight characteristics, minimum/max wingload, preferred wingload etc. etc etc.) about the canopy which is available for everybody. On the Icarus website, you can read a lot about the VX, FX, Crossfire, and all the other canopies Icarus are making. But you can't read anything about the Neos, despite you already can buy the canopy.

I have never been to Eloy. But from what i hear (crowded skies, busy landingarea) it sounds like, the only right thing to do, is to make at separate swooping area, where you also can land after a normal skydive (not only hop'n pops). Swooping has come to stay. Therefore i don't think there will be long before they make some kind of swooping area at Eloy. It's a very good discussion though, it makes people think, how we can improve the current situation.

Secondary lower performance canopy?

Well said, these kind of people are the ones to look out fore -
It's way past february now, and you still can't read anything about the Neos on the Icarus website. But the Neos is listed on their online stock report. When is Icarus going to release some info about the canopy on their website? Does anybody know? Peter

I also was a little bit confused the first time I saw the clip. But he did the swoop on a go-fast vx. I think the clip you saw from the velo opening was from some outside videoguy. At 00.53 when Joao flies in through the hangar, you can see a guy swooping left by the hangar on a Velocity. The velopilot also had a yellow helmet on, Joao had a fullfacehelmet on. I think that PD payed some cash to get the velo clip in there = productplacement. And it is clear to everybody that this stunt can't be made on a velocity. Theese kind of stunts are for VX's only

The easiest way, without even leaving dropzone.com is to Check out "Gear" - Jumpsuits and Clothing on this website. Here you will find a lot of manufacturers of freefly jumpsuits

Funny story you describe it very well, you almost feel like being there. It's very far from the everyday problems we encounter here en little Denmark on a rainy and cold wintersday. Be careful out there, you won't like the Masai people to see you as a lion, who's trespassing their grounds Peter

http://www.skydiveu.com/products.php You have to buy these videos, but i think they are some of the best out there when it comes to "helping people in their understanding of "flying the whole body"". But of course nothing beats real coahing and airtime. Of course you can't get the skills by only wathing these videos, but they certainly give you the understanding of in which way you have to angle your body, to fly the different positions. Peter

you're rigth, that's a pretty scary video. It almost made my stomach turn. It clearly shows how important it is to be aware of your own skills, and be honest to your self. Othervise you can easely kill your jumping collegues and your self.... Glad to hear that nobody was hurt og killed.
