  1. The fifth book in the series is supposed to be out the 12th of next month. At least according to the authors website. I'm soooo ready. I thought HBO did a great job, the books are extremely lengthy so I'm impressed that they got as much as they into the shows. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
  2. Made a promise to my friend, while severely intoxicated, that I would do a tandem with her for her birthday. Though I didn't appreciate her holding me to it in the morning, I gave her a big fat kiss when I got down. Plus the chicks, man the chicks. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
  3. I received my coach rating not AFF, sorry for not specifying. "Dying stuff"? Sorry I don't really catch your drift on that one. What I was trying to get across was that we'll get a lot further with students by creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere. Should people be called out and corrected for their mistakes??? Abso-freakin-lutey!! But bashing others and petty gossip won't take us very far. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
  4. It blows me away that anyone could have something bad to say about Bram or Elly. Zhills is my home DZ and I got my rating in november and Bram has always been helpful with any questions I've had well beyond the end of the course. And Elly?!?!?! She's one of the sweetest people I know! I hate to hear anyone ripping or trashing other skydivers but it unfortunately happens and this sport is far from the only one to experience it. So I take it upon myself to lift others up and make meaningful connections with those that I cross paths with. With student retention at a pitiful level I think if we stepped back and saw the way we looked bickering and carrying on in front of new jumpers then we might understand why some don't want to remain at that DZ or in this sport. Muff brother Johnny Gates said it best, Have fun and remember to love each other. That's what we need to bring back into this sport!! Sorry for ranting:) What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
  5. Zhills is a warm, friendly and accepting DZ. The staff there cares about your progress and wants you to become a better skydiver. Stick with your home DZ for AFF and beyond, the friends and mentors that you pick up along the way are so worth it. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.

  8. Hey Randy, glad you're doing good. I wasn't trying to make a spectacle of your shanking but I felt that word needed to get out about that guy. Also thanks for putting yourself out there so women never need to feel scared or uncomfortable at zhills. You're my hero What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.

  10. This is the story I recieved from Patrick who is an officer in pasco I believe and was the one that handled the situation when everyone reliezed that it wasn't a prank. Salsa had apperantely been making some unwanted advances towards two women and the tandem instructor told him to get lost, I'm sure not in those polite terms. Salsa at some point may have felt threatened and decided to draw his knife and stab Randy. What Patrick pointed out to me though was when the two of them came out into the crowd and were exchanging words, his knife was folded back up and in his pants. If he had been attacked, why wouldn't he still have his weapon out in self defense? This is what alerted Patrick and had him subdue salsa. I personnaly only saw the verbal exchange on the deck and there was not any physical contact at that time. I had heard some stories after the fact of course but I can't verify anything. Patrick talked to salsa and handed him over to the athorities so I only put his remarks in my post. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
  11. He just came back from the hospital a couple of hours ago and is fine. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
  12. I'm not sure how many people know "Salsa John" that well, but he was just involved in a stabbing incident here in zhills. Him and a local instructor got into an altercation and salsa stabbed our friend. I've met the guy before but this behavior is just so unheard of. We here at zhills rarely, if ever have any violence and I'm just floored that another skydiver would go to such extremes. I hate posting it but I feel like everyone should be made aware of the type of person he is. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.

  20. When I first met and fell in love with Drew I couldn't figure out how I was going to tell my mom that I was gonna marry a skydiver with nipple rings who lives in a van. When I told her we were getting married, she looked straight at me and said "I hope you know that not everyone is as lucky to have what the two of you have and I'm so happy that you have been able to find this happiness". Coming from my mother was a shock and the only thing that could have made my engagement sweeter. Though we are so different it's the perfect balance for our relationship. My type-A keeps him grounded and his free-spirit relaxes my mind. The stories I've read have been so wonderful and uplifting, I look forward to enjoying many years with Drew as so many of you have with your S/Os. 21. Speaking as someone in the auto shop industry everyone is pretty spot on about the toyota. The reliability of these are phenomenal. Honda and nissan run a close 2nd and 3rd. When problems do occur parts are competitive in price and availability with american made vehicles. Someone argued a Jetta and I say stay FAR away. They are a pain to fix, parts are usually 4-5 days away plus getting a local independent shop to that can fix it is few and far between. Most german cars are this way and they still don't hold a candle to japanese makes. As far as your chrysler I'd say retire the poor beast. It will not last you another 100k(I'm actually surprised it lasted this long). Besides problems with engine oil leaks, they are notorious for their AC problems and are always expensive. I cringe whenever I see one of these cars come into the shop. Buy yourself a camry, used is just as good since the warranty on these vehicles can't be touched. Or if you'd like a convertible, the solara has one now. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
  22. Easiest surgery I ever had. Had them done in the morning was out on the boat and jet ski the very same day. Salt water rinse and codeine were the key. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say.
