  1. Don't forget to give beer to half the DZ after you finish your AFF.
  2. Plan a holiday trip to Europe (France, Belgium, Holland,..) You can do AFF there the year you turn 16 I know a lot of people who started jumping at that age.
  3. That's just mean and nasty, some people NEED their kids taken off of them Actually, after Microsoft and a big gadgetsite (forgot the name) saw this video they donated the kid an X-box and a sh*tload of games for free. So, except for maybe a few hours of psychic counselling in the future, it turned out pretty good for the poor kid
  4. Maybe 13 is a little too young, i remember a video posted here a few years ago about parents wanted their son to be the youngest skydiver. They went to brasil and he became the youngest skydiving death http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1878179#1878179
  5. In Belgium you can start jumping from the year you turn 16. I think in France you can start jumping at the age of 15, with the consent of a doctor. I met a kid once who's father was a skydiving instructor and he wanted to go skydiving like his dad. When he turned 15 they went to france but the french doctor didn't give him permission because he was to small for his age. Had the bones of a 13 year old or something. He was pretty bummed out... So come to Europe to jump, you can even drink beer to celebrate your first jump, but ask somebody to drive you around in a car because you have to be 18 to do that
  6. you're missing the point of the poll The actual cost of fuel is irrelivant it's how much does it take away from your weekly pay that i am looking for. you can pay $10 per litre, but if you earn $5000 per week it's only a small fraction of your pay. That's why I want the %age. waaaaayyyy above 12.6%
  7. You guys (americans) are the lucky ones. Here in Belgium and probably Europe, diesel prices just went up again. We pay 1.2€/liter that's around 6,5$/gallon. If you have to fill your tank with regular fuel you're totally f*cked it's like 8,5$/gallon. And analysts here say that prices might double in the next 10 years. So now you also know why we tend to drive such small...euh... pussy cars

    Pilot

When I had 50 jumps I bought myself a brand new Pilot 168. 400 jumps later I sold it and bought me a pilot 150. Now, again few hundred jumps later, I just ordered a pilot 132. I'm soooooo loving this canopy. In the 700 jumps I made with the pilot I had only 1 slammer opening. so...that are pretty good odds, i think.
  9. Okay... I spend 10 minutes signing up for that? (probably also 4 a stupid spam/newsletter, i can't get rid off) You're really sick my friend
  10. Nope, in my country also forbidden, but sometimes...Shit happens!
  11. didn't noticed much difference. i guess when it's wet it becomes a superZP canopy
  12. Once i went thru an ice cloud, i had an open helmet (long live freefly). I entered the 'ice zone' at 11k, i pulled at 5k and i was still bombarded with hail, around 3k the hail went to rain, a lot of rain. I was soaking wet, my face was red and totally covered with bumps, like i had a strange desease. People asked me why i didn't go on my back...I DID but then the hail was impacting the back of my neck. So i lay in a kind of foetus position for 6000ft And yelling in freefall: aaawwf*cksh*tdamn this hurts!!! 20 minutes later it was blue skies again and i had to jump to dry my gear
  13. Belgium...the country were you cannot throw watermellons, bowlingballs, televisions or cats out of the plane only people
  14. I think you forgot the part where the gaint trubine engine comes in...
  15. I think that this can be an interesting subject
