I did find the spoon; it was way under the bed and clean enough to put right back in my silverwear drawer! Bonus! can I borrow a jump ticket real quick?

So, there I was with my fingertip hanging by a thread and a make-shift bandage of carpet pad and duct tape the only thing holding the whole thing together. It hurt just a bit, so I decided to do a seedy drug deal and buy these vicoden from a seedy person that a…well… seedy friend of mine knows. I got five at $2 a piece figuring that should last a few days. I'm not a total wimp, and my tolerance is really low to pain meds. The very first night, it hurt so bad, I said screw it and took a whole one. I was ready for my bedtime ritual of reading some and going nighty-night, but first I had to have a snack (apparently pain pills give me the munchies...bad!). I went to the freezer, pulled out the NY cherry ice cream, and decided there wasn't really enough left to bother with a bowl. I took what was left of the half gallon directly to my bedroom (I can always put back what I don't eat...), set my reading light, laid the carton on my chest, and dug into a lovely big-spoon mouth full of scrumptiousness! Next thing I knew, it was morning. When you get done with the visual of cherries stuck hither and yon, and melted ice cream all over my sheets, with me tossing and turning on it all night, just remember, I also have two dogs. I still can't find the spoon... can I borrow a jump ticket real quick?

HA! That reminds me of a jump I did back at Z-hills after being gone awhile in 2000; I was driving truck and jumping everywhere and I still didn't even have my own gear. It was winter and lo and behold, a master/owner from a DZ in Pell City, AL was there and I had just been to her DZ!, I had like..25 jumps...She caught me with the student rig and asked me why I didn't adjust the side straps (I forgot there were side straps), and then she said my AAD wasn't set!!!! What a complete moron! I wanted to die, but I didn't want my friends to see. HA! I am very happy to know that my friends watch me be an asshole/moron now; i would prefer it to letting them see me die. "Peeps is good like dat!" can I borrow a jump ticket real quick?

Great thread. Bill! It brought me so way back! I have to say the best advise I ever got that still works to this day came from three people on three separate occasions: from Johnnie; "relax and have fun", from Sally, "Just GO there!", and from Pine in Deland, "Pretend your elbows are wing-tips." They taught me how to ride the bike, and I won't ever forget! So much wisdom, but the best wisdom I ever got came from people who were willing to laugh straight in my face!
