  1. you know what i find interesting is that it takes a while to get a patent on anything and the PEA RDS has that, which kind of tells me that Scott or who ever put a lot of time into it. but wasn't it just last year that paraconcepts had those plastic RDS's? and now they have almost identical RDS's to PEA? i don't know maybe it's me, but that seems wierd.
  2. anybody know if they'll use omniskor or what ever to post results for US nationals?
  3. what were the results? sounds like jeffro took it
  4. nice! now that's what swoopin is all about i think
  5. just kind of wondering what event you primarily look at when you view swoop competition results, both pro and amatuer? personally, i look at distance so i can see how far off i am from the "big guns".
  6. So what are people's thought on the next step for swooping? do you think we've tapped out the possibilities of competitions? do you think the swooping "craze" is over or just beginning? how about canopies, do you think that the best pilots out there have pretty much maxed out what we're able to do with current canopies? just wanted to start some interesting conversation.
  7. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!! wow is all i can say
  8. what are your thoughts on it? Why do you think this is a better position?
  9. just wondering if anyone had any quantifable data of how fast they've gone under a canopy? What has your max speed been?
  10. So now that i'm getting into swooping i am starting to read more and more about physics and aeronautics and what ever else pertains to swooping, and had a question that hopefully someone can answer. does the camber of your wing change when you pull on risers? for example if you pull on the front risers does the camber of the canopy increase?
  11. I was wondering if there is a "directory", or some sort of list, that gave suitable canopy coaches in a given state or region? if there isn't, does anyone else think it would be a good idea to make a "sticky" post so we can easily find a canopy coach? Really i only know of the PD flight-1 camp and jim slaton's coaching seminars, but there has to be others out there, right? i ask cause i can't afford to travel too far right now, but would still like to get some training and knowledge under my belt.
  12. Are there any DZ's out there that require AAD's by all jumpers (ie fun jumpers, students, tandems)? just curious.
  13. why doesn't PD just make a super velocity? i mean from what i've read that's what a JVX is right, a super vx? put some HMA on there, tweek the trim, and there you go, right? but looking at the end results this year, a velocity pilot was 1st in every major tour including the PST. of course this all simple to do, especially for some one who hasn't even flown a xbraced yet
