  1. Ian, Let me know if you can't get a hold of him, the rigger at Gold Coast also has a very similar design that is extremely nice, with padding and well dispersed weight
  2. Try Scott's it is the most comfortable one I've had
  3. Webpage stated standard with 300 HMA or you can order 500 if you prefer longevity, Also comes standard with RDS instead of collasable slider.
  4. Sweet, at last The Competition Velo! Does PD do Stimulus/Tax Loans or can I just have my paycheck direct deposited to them?
  5. First, I would certainly say that the size, and dimensions of it are consistant with the proven slider tested for the canopy. Second, the design is without a doubt the best tested out of alll the products available. Lastly, I am NOT saying that other products are faulty, simply that for the Velocity canopy it makes sense to use the product which was designed directly for use with the Velocity. I would likely make the same comment regarding the Precision RDS is likely best for use on Precision canopies. You wouldn"t put a Honda engine in Corvette just because it was cheaper would you?
  6. Here is the hyperlink, Scott is great about getting materials out fast, he likely has a few lying about that he can ship immediately Cheers, Bryan http://www.peaengineering.com/rds.htm
  7. Since you are jumping PD products it only makes sence to jump the only design tested and recommended for PD use.....PEA Engineering's RDS. (AKA Scott's design) You may find some more inexpensive products available out there but one malfunction or damaged caused by other designs can cost you an entire canopy or obviously much more. HOW MUCH IS YOUR LIFE REALLY WORTH?
  8. Dave, you can count me in on the Texas League this year. Once the FLCPA finishes in May I planning on doing as much training at Spaceland as possible. Cheers!
  9. Congrats to all 15 memebrs that attended the selection process and enjoyed what must have been the time of their lives! Best of luck to the 4 new team memebrs of the PDFT, see you on the course!
  10. Does anyone know of the estimated date of completion?
  11. QuoteI love this thread!! Quote No kidding! This far better tha ANY of the smack talking Ian puts down on Canopy Piloting threads
  12. ***have you ever worked for Pizza Hut??? SNAP!
  13. Liquid Sky defininately the best hands down! Others have a comparable product however the price and wait is not worth what, if any, percievable differences in quality. As far as durability, I am on my 3rd season wearing LS swoop pants and I cannot say enough about the quality, turn around time and customer service Julio provides to all his customers.
  14. Is it printed on the back somewhere? Because I still haven't gotten mine.... Damnit, I started swooping because I was told there was no math....First I have to deal with GW taking the podium at world, and now math....That's it I quit.
  15. Congrats to all the competitors for their excellent performances. A special congrats goes out for a "special" competitor Greg Windmiller, way to go Greg! You are making the GK look great this year in canopy piloting. Who would have thought you would be a poster boy for anything other than....well I'll let your imagination do the rest of the job.
  16. Congrats to all the 15 selected, hard work pays off! I think we all look forward to seeing who the final 4 to put on blue jerseys will be.
  17. Best of luck and skill to all the competitors, we all look forward to seeing the results of your efforts at World. Go Team USA!
  18. regarding the AVE 3 and 5, I would recommend the 7 above both, the 3 is weak on features and there is vurtually no difference in price between the 5 and 7. The 7 has a number of fade and auto fade features that will simplify any edit job especially multiple input editing. Ebay will have several for around 200 USD.
  19. *** Highly unlikely man. I already cut the chest strap down to normal size... i dont deserve to have the longest one in the world. with an attitude like that Mike you are never going to get that 2.00 bill back
  20. If by that you mean a long chest strap, then yes, I think i do. I have the longest chest strap in the world! although some jealous haters may dispute that. I am coming after you Mike, I have a new rig on order, and Yes a LONGER chest strap than the last one! and that isn't JEALOUS HATING....you, you, you, Russian Person You.
  21. I would say that the use of ANY material, especially tape presents a number of serious safety issues. 1. The tape described is not intended for application to a parachute or parachute line, and therefore could have some serious implications to the lines or any other nylon it makes contact with. Many glues used on tape contain alcohol and other caustic chemicals. This could easily result in accellerated line wear or breakage. 2. The tape as described can be difficult to attach to the risers, being bulky and unpredictable in it's density. This creates a problem in two ways: As described, it can interfere with the normal equipment operation of the slider and perhaps even the toggles; and second, it is quite possible for the tape to interfere with your dexterity ESPECIALLY if you are wearing gloves. 3. The question that bears even a larger question than the use of tape is this: If you HAVE to or SHOULD wear thick gloves that interfere so severely to riser operation that you NEED to apply an untested modification to your risers, should you really be applying the use of front riser divers at all? I would say absolutely NOT!
  22. All that being true I also heard that Ian is pulling out his secret new swoop clothing weapon next year....something called Operation "August Bunny" I can't wait to see it!
  23. Hell yeah I am going, but I will be living large in Tent City this time. See you guys Sunday afternoon.
  24. I have a hotel room reservation the Radisson that I am not going to use from Sun 24-31 Aug.(it is not nessessary to use all the days.) I would hate to cancel the reservation and have it go to a non-jumper if someone out there needs it. The rate is around 200.00 p/night. for a king bed and fold out couch. Email or call me as before friday morning as I am planning on canceling it so I am not charged. [email protected]
  25. Dave, can you post the dates for the rest of the year, I was hoping to come out in July or Aug. -Beek
