  1. I was spinning when cutting away and it still opened without line twist. Maybe I stopped turning, but never the less, it opened straight on and flew well. It had a great flare and I felt safe under it.
  2. Ray, you will be missed. Thanks for shooting video for me and my friends at the TSA events and on other skydives. Thank you for sending me copies of video too. I will miss your company, friendship, and generous nature. Blue skies my friend. Jacob
  3. I'm tired of my aching body from my Sabre1 170. It's been kicking my ass and I want a different canopy...any suggestions for what to buy? I have about 170 jumps on this sucker (my first canopy), I weigh 175 pounds (w/o gear), and I land it with no problem.

    Classic Pro

My Talon does what it's suppposed to...deploy my canopy:) It works well but it's an old one and had the leg strap modified to boc. It's comfortable and easy to use. The main risers can sometimes be seen if you don't pack well enough, but still ok for belly flying and rw. I will always keep mine for future use as a back-up rig since it's so old.

    Sabre

I love my sabre but it can open too fast if you don't roll the nose enough. I sometimes roll the heck out of it to ensure an average opening. If you don't roll it at all, it will pop out in a hard opening and give you whip lash! I like to re-pack mine before jumping it after I haven't used it in a week. I noticed that if I pack it at the end of a weekend, and then jump it five days later with out a re-pack, it will give a hard opening.

    Z1

I love mine, it fits well and keeps my head warm. When I first used it the visor opened in freefall but that was because I hadn't snapped it shut before exiting the plane. I thought it was closed but you have to actually feel or hear the button on the chin "snap." The pull tab on the back is used just to reduce the cold air from reaching the head, not to keep the Z1 from falling off. The chin strap is required to use---of course. The size can be changed just by using different sized padding. Very convenient.
