  1. Thanks for the responses. I still have some time before I make a decision and am planning to visit in a few weeks. Blue skies "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security
  2. Kansas City area. I do have a couple of opportunities in KC if I decide to stay and although they are not ideal, they will pay the bills. There is also the issue of selling my house here. I am trying weigh all my options. "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security
  3. Anyone live in Monroe, LA? My company has merged with another and I have been offered a couple positions within the new company. I am trying to decide whether to move or take a severance package. It looks like there are three DZs within a 2 hour drive. What is there to do, housing, weather, crime, economy, etc? 4. Too bad you won't be there, but don't worry...I will rent your trailer out (by the hour/minute)... "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security
  5. Well it's about damn time Congrats Jen!!!!!! "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security
  6. Tom Dolphin owns the airport and has two cessna 182s. There are NO Farmer McNasties anwhere and plenty of outs as far as you can see - you really have to try very hard to find an obstacle - however, there have been some who have taken that on as a personal challenge. We have wonderful facilities, (carpeted packing area, camping, showers, etc.) and a great group of people. Come on out and we will get you in the air. And if you're willing, we will get you extremely intoxicated after sunset. If you are looking for a turbine then Vandalia or Bowling Green would probably be the closest from KC. 7. Chris, you're right. MRVS will be closed Labor day weekend since the majority of us will be heading to Couch Freaks. See you next week and I will have a margarita waiting on you when you get there. Dorinda "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security

  9. I always have a great time but this weekend definitely exceeded my expectations. I got to hang out with current and old friends and, of course, I made many new ones. Although, I did lose a lot of friends on Saturday and Sunday morning..something about Dorindarita's and me being evil.. Tom, Chris and Jen thanks for making the Boogie happen and thanks to Skydive Chicago and Dave as well, it made me tingle in certain places to see the Otter lifting off the runway with a load of jumpers. I wish the weather would have cooperated a little more, but everyone was at least able to get in some jumps. The bands rocked the place and the giveaways, discounts, etc. were top notch. What can you say about Swine Flew, it is some the best BBQ around. Karl, glad you survived the trip back. You have a place to stay whenever you are in KC…although your drinking skills could still use some work "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security
  10. You will have 3-4 DZs within an hour drive depending on where you are in the KC area. (MRVS, Skydive Kansas City, Skydive Kansas, Skydive K-State, Kansas City Skydiving Center) They are all Cessna DZs though. There are quite a few more DZs within a 3-4 hour drive, the majority being Cessna DZs, but I believe Quantum Leap and Archway, both have turbines. Freefall Express is a Cessna DZ and is about 3-4 hour drive. It is fun place to jump as well. Then again, I have fun wherever I go. Skydive Chicago is about 5-6 hour drive, although flights to Chicago are pretty reasonable. I would recommend visiting all the DZs in the area and jump wherever you feel the best vibe is. If you need any additional information about the area such as housing, things to do, etc., let me know. Blue Skies Dorinda "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security
  11. Karl, I hope your liver has recovered from Reno because you have several margarita's to consume. Thanks to you and all the folks at aerodyne for the "goodies" to give away and the demo opportunities
  12. I can't wait, we had so much fun last year...and yes, there will be plenty of Dorindarita's to go around. I will even have beginner cups available for those who are new to the Dorindarita experience "Osh Kosh is NOT a Boogie" - Osh Kosh Security
  13. As many of you may know, my cousin has been found, but it was under very tragic circumstances. The investigation is still ongoing but they have taken a person responsible in custody. I can't seem to find the right words, but I want to thank everyone for your thoughts, vibes and prayers and the quick action taken to assist in the search.
