http://radar.smh.com.au/archives/2007/03/extreme_close_u.html Just in case anyone was interested, its from a magazine in the Sydney Morning Herald.
  2. What are the charges you are looking at if you do jumping one of those bridges and get caught? And what function do thermal camera's serve? How do you identify someone through thermal imaging?
  3. The few times I have been going to altitude I've been sitting in the plane saying to myself "You're stupid! What are you doing this for? You're an idiot, you're gonna die...", but as soon as that door opens I know I've got a job to do, my JM is there and I've done it before, so by the time I'm back on the ground I just want to get back up there. Then I'm on the next load sitting saying to myself "You're stupid! What are you doing....
  4. Thanks guy's, was just curious and yeah the gong would be a silly place to put it.
  5. Did my AFF 1 and 2 levels on Sunday and just wanted to say a big thankyou to all the guys and girls at Picton for a fantastic weekend. The training on saturday was in an easy format and concise. I got a couple of line twists and some collapsed end cells on my first opening and new exactly how to deal with it. My JM's passed me and although I intended only to do one jump I had such a good time I needed to do another one. Had a great time on the second jump and loved getting to do some forward and backward movement as well as a spin. My JM's passed me on that to and I'm ready to do level 3, so the credit card that I just paid off is probably going to be back at maxed out once again. Had some beers with some jumpers and instructors after the day was over and one fella even put on a case for hitting my mate with a shoe when they were on a load. Don't know if any of the people from Sydney Skydivers read this site but thanks again for a GREAT day.
  6. Great place you guys got here. Did my first jump (tandem) just under a week ago and it blew my mind. I'm really keen to start the AFF course. Just wondering due to the cost of the first 8 or so jumps I'd only really be able to do one month, perhaps two on occasion depending on circumstances. Is this going to be a problem, as I understand staying current is an issue? Cheers
