UCRs are basically garbage and are not reliable. Most agencies will "adjust" their reports and stats to reflect lower or higher charges crimes on what they are trying to show. I am even aware of one agency that had a secretary who would go into the all non-charged reports at the end of the year and simply remove the penal code section to change the report to a basic "documentation." Thenthe city council could tell everyone how great the department was doing in lowering violent crimes..... Just as easy to overload charges as well to make it seem that crime is going up.

Very disappointing. Extremely bad acting in some cases and weak, weak storyline. Why is it that movie makers seem to think that merely making a movie in 3D makes it ok to have a suck-ass script. They could have done so much more with this.....Oh, and this doesn't include the Matrix fighting scenes. Should have just left it alone.

I took my 14 year old daughter (who is probably more mature than I am) and the ticket girl started off by telling me it was rated-R and was filled with all kinds of foul language and scenes not really suitable for those under 17. My response: "yeah, that's why we came to see it"... Guess I am up for a bad parent of the year award.... Great movie by the way.

The real problem here may very well be lack of experience on the officers part. While I have never been one to just throw officers under the bus, I can say from experience that too many young officers (under 5 years experience) often find themselves in situations that may have been avoided with a little more of an up-front thought process. What are the possible threats?? in this case, there may be a dog or two (hence the sign if it in fact did exist and was visible). Once she was in the situation, she most likely did not feel that she had any other option. Another factor is that there is not enough training for officers for how to handle being around dogs, in fact, most are scared to death of dogs. Either way, you can beat the family will get a nice chunk of change, not that it would replace the animal.

Not true, they must be able to prove the exigent circumstances later. Simply claiming it does not automatically make an allowance for it. Inexperienced officers make this mistake all the time. While the law does look at it from a "Reasonable Officer's (same experience and training level) viewpoint", I have seen many subsequent enforcement actions thrown out as a result of a court later ruling that exigent circumstances did not exist. And yes, they can also be held liable for every action they take.

We feel so honored that we had the opportunity to spend this last weekend around Robby and his never-ending smile (especially when USC pulled out the win over Ohio at the end of the game). Saw it today and thought it was awesome!!! Have to admit I was a bit confused as I was unaware of the changes to the original history, but Wow. There was some great action and the characters were well done (for the most part). As already stated, it could be the start of a whole new set of films where anything can now happen. By the way, I really enjoyed seeing grown men dressed down in their best Star Fleet uniforms... Where is Galaxyquest when you need it??

Happy Holidays... I am looking at an Online Master's Program (Public Administration) through Capella University and was hoping to find someone who is currently taking classes with the school or has recently completed a program. I am trying to avoid another two years of weekly 1 1/2 hour drives to and from Sacramento, but am somewhat hesitant. One of the better movies in a long time. Downey was great but so was Gwyneth Paltrow. I loved the line "I also get to take out the trash"... Will definately see it again.

Dave Mikesell is a con man with absolutely no credibility. He is the same guy "believed" to have filed complaints against Bill Dause in Lodi after abruptly leaving. He is also the same guy that is suspected of numerous gear and equipment thefts at southern DZs as well as other crimes. By the way Dave, if you are reading this, Summerville PD still has an arson case with your name on it (you know the one where your car burned up in your backyard with your then-wife's dog in it). Of course you remember, you fled the state shortly after the investigation began and it was determined that accererants had been used on the car. I would love to "chat" with you sometime about it -- as Summerville PD still has a lot of questions and no statue of limitations. Those around Dave need to distance themselves very quickly as he is not what he has been portraying himself to be. He has left many angry people in his wake from DZ to DZ. Colin, you need to do your homework and realize he is not the one you should be relying on to help you (if you in fact are). By the way, I am not taking sides in the Cloverdale issue and have nothing against anyone there other than Dave Mikesell (I still consider others there to be friends). I also usually do not get involved in civil disputes as they tend to become nightmares. However, you have to play fair and using someone like Dave Mikesell to push your agenda is out of line. Colin and others there need to take the time to find out more about him. I have only been looking into him for the past few weeks and already have a binder full of information. He is not someone you want on your side and his time is coming. I would love to share more but it will all come out in due time.

Talk about a bunch of spoiled-ass children!!! I would not be surprised to see them get pissed-off over how they were portrayed (even though they did it to themselves). Wheatgrass juice??? Come on... By the way, I have to say that I was really surprised with how good the show was this year. I thought the celebrity thing would be it's down fall, but it was actually way better! (except for having to deal with Omarosa). She should be banned from television for the rest of her life -- ugly witch!!

Even though everyone does it and sex sells more than just about any other product in the world, it's still look upon as taboo and sinful by us god fearing folk (or that is my understanding of it). The world always has been and always will be full of hypocrites who pound their fists while screaming that something is wrong, while doing it themselves behind the scene. I never have a problem with people living their lives as they see fit, I just have a problem those who act "better" than everyone else while sinking lower in "private" than most. He is part of the problem......

If the xacto knife is hollow without the blade, it could be used to smoke controlled substances (i.e. meth). The knives themselves are used to help cut up crack rocks into smaller pieces when needed as they are much sharper. The aluminum foil is normally used to help heat up the rocks and can be smoked with the crack pipe (glass tube) from sticking it into the liquified substance. The black lines can be from many things, moving the pipe up and down the foil during smoking or just bycrumpling it around with the substance inside. However, if the substance is black and sticky, it could also be black tar herion which is injected with needles, but it does not look like herion resin. The small brown end piece looks to be the remains of a blunt cigarette -- normally swisher sweet cigar filled with marijuana. I would be most worried about the glass crack pipe as that only has one use -- bad stuff. I've seen too many good people lose themselves to it...
