keep in mind that while some manufacturers offer a sizing that allows for some variation in both larger and smaller canopies in them with Wings they give you the largest possible PD sized canopy. If you are thinking of a Pilot perhaps consider a container size larger if you are not overly current or quick with packing. The difference in container size is minimal and making the packing experience easier will make you more likely to make more jumps :) I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

Can't say I agree with this concept. As a full time rigger I see a lot of gear come through the loft and I have seen enough people using bands that have nicks in them that can and do break during the packing process or deployment process. consider if you will that the locking stows tend to get the most tension, that during lift off the mass of the lines extends the bands and if they are damaged they are more prone to breaking.... now you have a point in the deployment process where you can have bag-strip, the canopy has left the bag before line stretch. There can be disastrous outcomes. I always teach people to change their bands before they break. The last thing you want is an out of sequence deployment. For the cost of bands its really not much and as someone else suggested if you dont like to pay for bands then get a stowless bag I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

Approx 800 TM from Nav's Student sits in lap. Slide both sets of legs out door. Both sets of legs back Nader plane, student arches, pop out with back to relative winds, back lay out, set Drogue. To be honest I saw it as brand snobbery. Some people appear to get an almost religious devotion to brands (witness the Microsoft/apple debate). Bang on the money. I see issues with both brands. Locked out units in both brands, ground fire issues with both brands seen locally, units not acting as they should during start up.... Looks funny to see a Cypres showing a static figure of 645 with an arrow next to it. Not saying either are good or bad but that it appears people's false assumptions that one is better than the other are based generally on what brand is popular where peeps jump I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

I can't speak for UPT but I have seen a Sigma that contained a stowless bag in use for a long period without any apparent complications or issues. The bag was built utilizing tuck flaps for the line pocket and tangs and grommets to close the bag In many ways some of the stowless bags offer better security against bag strip due to the inherent design. I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

Jump the Beach Brisbane offers outside camera.... While not quite on the level of Airlie for scenery it does alright with great views of Morton Island, North Stradbroke and the flight up takes you over bribie island. As well as great views of the Glass House Mountains on a clear (cold) day you can just make out Fraser Island all the way down to Tweed Heads! Check that out on the map. I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

Ive taken close to 3,000 tm's and had two women tell me they climaxed on the jump and I can think of at least a couple of others that I wondered about but where nothing was said. I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

I have had a couple of issues over the lat 7 years. One was R-cuff. That took some suitable exercises to sort out and has been good most of the time since. I have had a couple of whiplash injuries from hard opening tandems. One was a year ago and one was a couple of months ago. No treatment the first time around but this time regular physio and suitable exercises has meant that I feel slightly better than I did all last year. Im hoping another couple of months of this treatment will leave me doing better yet though there is the possibility that the general discomfort may never go away if it turns out it was bad enough. :( ge the right help and be diligent in whatever treatment regime they present to you I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

Hey I use a Suunto Observer. I find it a good alti except that if a button gets nudged then it is no longer an alti but a barometer! or a compass! not really very helpful does your system allow for it to be locked onto alti function. also can it be a data logger. the locking loop had been bartacked perpendicular rather than along the loop leading to only a small number of stitches holding it in place. Also the geometry was not good leading to higher than normal load on the loop. The fact that the risers were in the region of 10 years old and had done quite some jumps could be used to show quite how resistant the system can be to poor construction etc but that eventually things will catch up I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

We had an incident in Tasmania, Australia a year or two back where an RSL equipped talon had the left riser break firing the reserve out and into the mess above. He got lucky! A Collins Lanyard (RSL on right riser of course then) would have made all the difference. if only we could always determine what height we were going to be at when things went wrong.... from what build year is that for the Jav to be retro fitted? and to the poster up thread about Cut-in's floating. Having sold Wings for nearly 7 years now I cannot say that I have found this to be a problem so perhaps it is the way they are being measured by the dealer in your area? Very much agree with the statement about good judgment preventing accidents. It is also worth considering that the Skyhook can disconnect in normal use during deployment of the reserve leaving you with a standard RSL deployment and not a quicker reserve canopy deployment. Also please remember folks that there are a whole set of other EP's steps to consider if you are jumping with an RSL of any kind and it is not just about how it deploys the reserve. The example of a canopy collision above at 2-300 feet is where all bets are off and pray for the best.... perhaps its better to consider just deploying the reserve rather than hoping a Skyhook will work (and not disconnect on that occasion) but it is very different to f you have that same canopy collision at a couple of thousand feet and then you need to consider if the right thing to do is to disconnect the RSL/Skyhook before beginning your EP's. ...different to others. I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.

With the advent of newer AAD's and the number of cutter recall's and changes I started logging cutter serial numbers and DOM's a couple of years ago on both the packing card and my log book makes for happy customers at times like these I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.
