    World Cup 2014

I played soccer (a.k.a. football) since I was 6 though high school. Playing soccer is fun ... watching is almost as boring as watching golf and bigways LOL :)))

    World Cup 2014

For someone who just finished watching the Stanley Cup playoffs, it is almost painful to watch soccer, even at this level. Perhaps the most (if not only) entertaining aspect of this game is acting of players. Isn't it amazing how they fall and imitate unbearable pain even after minor (or sometimes no, as evidenced by video replay) contact with opposing players? Go Kings Go!

    Syria

If you learn the history and expand your sources of information with non-US (or pro-Western) media, you may start to realize that US and other countries, including Russia, have a long history of forcefully removing "bad parents" with devastating consequences for their "children". For example, compare Iraq during and after Saddam's regime. The key to making right political decisions is to think more than one step ahead. While I do not support Assad, I find the perspective of his current radical opponents (who only use the help from the West for their own advantage - again, think Taliban in 1980's during the Soviet war in Afghanistan) extremely dangerous for long-term stability in the region.

    Syria

You comparing apples and oranges. Syrian territory (including the areas were CWs are thought to be stored) is controlled by two military groups that are currently in a state of war. This instability has been, to a great extent, fueled by the West. That said, how can you rule out the possibility of Syrian rebels getting access (and, potentially using) the CWs? Note that I am not saying it's impossible that CWs were used by Assad's regime, but rather arguing that the publicly available evidence for later remains circumstantial. The second, and pore important, question is what will the US and whole wold really gain from a potential military strike? Nothing ...

    Syria

I find most of your arguments justifying the military action not supported by logical thinking and factual evidence, but this one is simply ridiculous. Have you studied history? Do you know how many American soldiers have been killed with US-made weapons that have been provided by the US government to Taliban and other radical groups? Do you understand the differences (or lack of thereof) between these groups and Syrian rebels? Needless to say, I am strongly against the use of CWs by anyone and in any circumstances. Just saying you should educate yourself and THINK before posting.
  7. Someone should tell him to sign up for a facebook account. Ron (presumably also banned from dz.com) has about 1,000,000,000 gun posts there
  8. So you can't tell the difference between THREADS and POSTS. Can't say I'm surprised. Besides, why would these numbers be surprising, considering they reflect a debate where one person (JK) argues with multiple active pro-gun opponents ?:))
  9. I have no doubdt the top GOP advisors are reading this form and taking notes
  10. Cannot believe I listened to this BS but I did ... My favorite part: " she recently joined twitter" OMG!!! Is twitter some kind of Muslim terrorist organization ?

    Run, Paul, run!

As someone very new to this community, you should carefully read the form rules. Not following them may result in a ban. To answer your questions: 1) Apparently, he did lie. You may want to check the actual transcript. 2) Those who cast the ballots have the right to know whether presidential candidates and their running mates tell the truth. Therefore, the article is perfectly relevant.

  19. Once the decision is made to shoot, you need to shoot to kill. Sometimes shooting people in non vital areas just agitates them and they then take you weapon and don't show you the same common courtesy you tried to show them. I wonder, what kind of combat experience do you have ? Have you ever seen people shot in limbs or other non vital areas from short distances ?
  20. Common guys! You have no love for Mitt ?
  21. Its time to make your bets, ladies and gentlemen:)
  22. You liberal Muslim-loving pro-choice elistists are so evil. Canucks posts were amoung the most entertaining to read in this thread. Now you pushed him away. Who else would speak up against the useless "takers" who contribute nothing but scientific discoveries, new technologies, music, art and laws.

    Nats results

Everytime a team like Air Force Impulse wins, a certain group of people starts wining and crying in public forums. Let me break it to you: these guys deserved their gold medals because they were better than their rivals. They had the right lineup, they trained hard, and perhaps as a group they were more talented than anyone else in the intermediate class this year. Needless to mention, they were officially eligible to compete in the intermediate division. In my book, they deserve more respect than lineups who spend many years and thousands of jumps trying to get that intermediate medals instead of moving up to advanced class. I find it very amusing when "seasoned" intermediate competitors whose personal 4-way experience in terms of jump numbers and years of competition is far greater that the cumulative experience of the whole young team complain that a bunch of kids sand bagged them (!). Its also great to see teams like Impulse stepping up and beating PC teams in the advanced class. Of course there is nothing wrong with PC teams and they are a great way to learn faster. However I always enjoy when, at the top of the stack, PC teams get beaten by 4 regular guys or girls who have talent, commitment, and determination to win. As far as their scoring level and the gap between Impulse and other teams, lets look at the following examples from the history of Intermediate competition. 2000 Nationals: DeLand Tunnel Rage won intermediate with a 15.3 average over 6 rounds and they scored 22 in round 3. 2001 Nationals: Formula 4 won with a 14 average (again, over 6 rounds) 2002 Nationals: Juggernaut won with a 14.1 average (and people still wine about Juggs). How do these scores compare with Impulse's 14.6 average? Interestingly, several former members of Tunnel Rage and Formula4 became accomplished world class competitors and two former Juggs won the gold in the advanced class year after winning the gold in the intermediate. Perhaps some of these air force kids are made from the same material and have the similar potential?
