  1. I don't have a clue, I think it should look better. Maybe because the opteka 0.3 isn't an actual HD lens and turning on the function makes the image wider and thus more blurry in the edges? Just guessing here.... Is it possible for you to upload some screenshots. I would like to see the difference myself. I'll give it a look also when I get home... 2. lost for words...... oh wait..... FREAK!!!! :) All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  3. I have the same problem with the locking pin being a little bit loose. I e-mailed them about the problem and they sent me a rubbersticker that should prevent the box from any movement. It didn't..., seems like ducktape solves about anything. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  4. Sitfly tunneltraining is more efficient timewise AND moneywise. You also have a good motivator to use the right techniques, a.K.a the Wall. The only thing about it that seems negative to me is that your money get's spent much faster than regular sitfly coaching and you don't really have the social aspect of skydiving outdoors. It's all about priorities, but efficiency no doubt the tunnel. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  5. ...rude Come on man, she was practicly beggin' for it. I'm thinking about flying fullface too, I'm always jealous of those farting flatflyers who start breathing in their Z1 and let the openhelmet freeflyers suck it up. Just don't know how I'll get my camera on it (they should make a fullface with a Z-kull system)... All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  6. So, one of your brothers éy? All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  7. Idem dito on the time of being headdown. Transitions will help you find the "straight down the tube" much faster. Because then you can see your movement in respect to the base (if you have one) and adjust your head, torso, legs accordingly. Another tip: try to keep your arms in front of you, so they don't steal air from your legs. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  8. +1 Example of customer service at it's best. And I'm shure any L&B customer is also very loyal and stays with them. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  9. What time are all the groups arrowed? Also what lens was used for the pictures? (because if it's a not a wide angle all the arrows are reasonably close to the 45° line). I do think that the camera test would achieve better results and accurate numbers when you mount it straigth down from top of the door (marking 0° and 45° in the door). That way you can see if the groups actually gain degrees in relation to time. Now you don't really have a reference around that 45° line marked on the image. Also it might be a good idea to let 2 jumpers use a GPS to actually see what kind of angle is reached. I like the fact you did research regarding the 45° rule and I'm not at all trying to break your research. I'm only saying if you want to bust the 45° "myth" more facts are needed. Also I dont want to defend the theorie, just think there hasn't been a lot of "accurate" research around it. I know I can be a pain in the ass and if I'm acting like a douchbag you should let me know. Then I'll stop my ranting. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  10. Can you post those pictures or video of those exits? Might be a great help to idiot people like me... Cause I see what the exit separation similator does and I totally believe you can calculate time for adequate seperation. But I still believe exits up and downwind will have a noticable visual difference to them. Call me hardheaded, I know. But as long as I don't see god I'm no believer XD. 11. I found it myself: http://www.dropzone.com/content/Detailed/628.html Will review my own theorie, but I still think going out blind counting separation is a bad thing. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  12. So what you are saying is you jump out blind? There is a big shift difference when the plane has low or high ground speed because of high or low upper winds. I have seen relative groups stay underneath the plane for ages and I've seen them move along nice and smooth. The difference is not hard to notice. A machine has no brain and doesn't tell you when it has a wrong reading. My eyes don't lie. I won't say they didn't get the briefing. I wasn't in their classes. But what I do know is that at our dropzone freefly exits after flat (for the same reason of horizontal seperation theory) and experienced jumpers have the responsability to make shure student-graduates respect the seperation. Do you have an instructor staying by the door every time to drop AFF graduates? I don't think so. Ask any AFF graduate to explain the exit order and seperation in detail, and many will fail to do so. That is why people come up with stuff like 7 seconds and 45 degrees. To be done with it the easy way... I think RW jumpers should be happy to have freeflyers check students exit seperation. Unless offcourse you trow out the graduates last and hope they follow the rules. Because I'm not a big fan of hoping. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  13. I know a freeflyer who smashed his car and several road signs, lost his bumper aka license plate, got caught in the morning, took a breath test and still failed, lost his drivers license and went up in the air again but....... He brushed his teeth :) so I don't care. Rule number one: have fun, drink hard, stay late... Rule number two: never give freefly coaching in the morning! Rule number three: never receive freefly coaching in the morning. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  14. If as a freeflyer, I get a student in front of me (who hasn't gotten any separation briefing), I don't have the time and resources to brief him inside the plane. What I think is best is to have them look outside, visually follow the group in front of him and checking with me, or with another experienced jumper before exiting. I tend towards the 45 degree rule myself, even if it has been proven that they never get to 45 degrees. It's just a name fella's. It has more effect than sayin' 7 seconds maty! Cause a nervous student counts FAST! What I look for is how fast the previous group is shifting (with knowledge of the upper winds) and get out accordingly. The knowlegdge of the upper winds gives you an estimate on how long to wait, but you still have to LOOK! If somebody is telling a student to wait 7 seconds, it is just to save their own ass and not explain how exit seperation works. And it always seems to come down to the freeflyers trying to brief students about horizontal separation, not to kill the relative guys. Because we have to make shure they wait long enough and we get to see sometimes how fucking fast they get out. 45 degrees or 7 seconds, they are both wrong (but used when there is no time for briefing). The 'right thing' is a 30 minutes briefing on exit order and horizontal separation. Which should happen BEFORE the first solo jump. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  15. I know I should have used Brittany Spears instead of Metallica!!! I love Metallica, but just want to f*ck Brittany. I'm leaving the subject now because everyting that is comming out is gibberisch... Must be the beer talking. Gonna watch my illegaly downloaded porn now. 16. I'm just saying they should only make people aware of the law and give everyone a chance to follow it. But yeah, it's america right, they sew you for serving hot coffée. I never said millionaires were stupid. I merely made a suggestion on how they could make more money because they are GREEDY :) And ow yeah, I'm not rich but I'm "succesfull" in life! You don't have to be smart to achieve succes. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  17. Let's say I want to use a Metallica song in a tandem video that I sell for 50 bucks. How would I go about making it a legal video? How do I contact Metallica to ask them if I can use their music? And how much would I have to pay to use their song just once in a video? I think after all the time and hassle you have to go through, they should give you the music FOR FREE and PAY YOU! I think it's just wrong to sell your music all over the world, but not add the option (also everywhere!) of a license to use the music "commercially" for regular people like me. If they we're smart, they would add the FEATURE ON EVERY WEBSITE that sells their music, and they will make a lot more money. Like they want it! Don't say it's stealing when you leave the door wide open man. I would be glad to pay a DECENT price to use music, just give me the chance. Just make it possible! But let's face it, us skydivers just don't have the money. Millionaires always need more money and we have to respect that! Skydivers just want to jump and they have respect that :). 18. I was afraid of that. But I'm still gonna play around with it, if it doesn't work I can still do awesome ground shots. And if I do accidently get some good shots, I'll be shure to put em on here :) All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  19. I'm thinking about trying out a static 35mm adapter on my videocamera to shoot during freefall. Has anyone tried this and can give me tips on how to focus on my object? Also what would be a good lens to do this with, should I go superwide and fly close? If I have to rely on my flying skillz to focus it will take ages to get the right shot. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
  20. I see a lot of guys jumping a GoPro lately (can mount almost anywhere + has a watertight casing) But cant replay on lcd and doesn't have superb quality images). But relatively cheap and superwide angle (180°). Good for debriefings and stuff, not really for video editing. http://www.goprocamera.com/ All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.

  25. Belgium is goïng for world domination! We are proud to be drunk. Yeah, I also think this deal would do more good to the States than to Belgium itself. I'm shure you guys could use some great beers over there. All speeding past collide and crashing, I'm in paradise.
