    Sore Muscles?

I never got sore in the beginning, but now my new Sabre has been slamming me on opening and I've been sore for days afterwards... Rhonda PP ASEL
  3. Load #1 2 girls, 2 guys, my husband did video... Rhonda PP ASEL
  4. Which load were you on? Rhonda PP ASEL
  5. Not only is Jeff a great videographer/photgrapher, but he is a very nice guy to be around - always smiling and willing to help out other people. Great job on the photos Jeff! See ya at Jumptown...
  6. That's funny because it was BIGGER than we had anticipated . We were surprised at how quiet it was too since we'd never been in a helicopter before... Rhonda PP ASEL
  7. Oh my God, it was so awesome - Thanks to everyone at Pepperell for getting the Bell Jet Ranger heli for the Boogie and I hope the ladies pulled off the New England women's record today - Anyone have any info.? Hope I have time to go back tomorrow and jump the CASA.... Rhonda PP ASEL
  8. Ok, my car has a tape player only, which is the only reason I still own these cassettes of course - The embarrasing ones that I have to roll the windows up when I play them are - Neil Diamond Journey Best of the 80's Kenny Rogers Greatest Hits The Bee Gee's Greatest Hits Poison Motley Crue Def Leppard Pat Benatar Prince Sheena Easton Paula Abdul George Michael Chicago and yes, Vanilla Ice... 9. CONGRATULATIONS! See everyone at Pepperell this weekend! Rhonda PP ASEL
  10. My husband and I are going - I'm trying to get Thursday/Friday off too. We're registered for the helicopter on Saturday I think you should mention that they dropped the registration fee too - that is awesome! My husband wouldn't go prior years just because of that fee...Should be a good time. I haven't jumped the CASA in a couple of years and that plane is the reason I jump today - Fran let me do a tandem out of it 5 or 6 years ago and I got hooked Rhonda PP ASEL
  11. The SkyVan is ok, but the CASA is much better :) I'm not afraid of the door - actually, that never even crossed my mind, but that sucker rattles like I can't believe - I used to take long trips in an old van with the whole family packed in and the SkyVan reminds me of that same van - makes me carsick If it's all that's available, no problem, but if there's a CASA that's also available, I'm all for the CASA. 12. I take mine off at the DZ and put it in my purse along with a necklace and pendant my parents gave me. My husband doesn't take his off bceause he doesn't wear one because he lost it in the ocean last month, but I think he did take it off before he lost it Rhonda PP ASEL
  13. We have a cat that likes to fetch too, but he doesn't do it all the time. He likes foil too, but anything plastic is his favorite, especially plastic bags. I love it - all cats should do it. Only the male does it - Our female cat could care less if we're alive or not, forget about wanting to play fetch with us... Rhonda PP ASEL
  14. You've got a deal Thanks for the info. - we knew it wouldn't be as simple as just jumping out of the 152 wherever, whenever, but we got to talking yesterday and wondered if it would be possible under any conditions... Thanks. Rhonda PP ASEL
  15. Doesn't sound like it's worth it...but perhaps if we were to get our own 172, it would be ok...It would be years before I'd even consider it anyway and by then who knows how much the legalities of it will change... It's good to know that it *can* be done if we really wanted to do it someday...probably not a great idea to do in a 152 at all unless you're a super experienced pilot... Rhonda PP ASEL
  16. Oh, I know that Howard It sounds like it's a bigger pain in the a*^ than it's worth, but I know I'll never be able to fly with Adrian in the plane then because he'll insist on wearing his chute and I just can never tell what he might pull... I can't believe they used a 150 at Pepperell - that's nuts...I would not let him jump at 2500 for my own safety anyway, especially with a 152. I suppose then, that we should fly out to Orange and then Adrian can make all the jumps he wants. Personally, I can't wait to jump the heli at Pepperell in a couple of weeks, but my rig is at Jumptown right now Guess I'll have to come out and get it and make some jumps next weekend. Rhonda PP ASEL
  17. That's actually a pretty good idea, but knowing him, he'll jump right out the second he discovers he can get that door open and I'll get in trouble I'll have to have someone else do it Rhonda PP ASEL
  18. Hi - I said before I'd either buy my own aircraft or talk to them first - if I was a complete schmuck, I'd just do it and not even be out here asking, right? I'm sure there are plenty of jumpers who have done just that I just said I was surprised it wasn't specifically included in the agreement... Rhonda PP ASEL
  19. We don't even bother trying to bring the rigs on board anymore - we just check them and we didn't have any problem when we went Boston - Phoenix in March... Rhonda PP ASEL
  20. I know what you mean - I'm taking flight lessons now and yesterday I went to go out on the ramp to preflight the plane and these 2 guys were trying to open the door to go out to the ramp - it's locked and you need a key to get out there. I was thinking, these guys better not try to just follow me out and they didn't, but they asked me, "can you let us out or do we have to ask soemone?" and I told them to go talk to someone at the security desk, which is right across from the door. What amazes me is that no one even looked at them as they tried to open the door and they could have just followed me right out because no one was watching the door -I'm sure they were just nice, regular folks, but you just never know...There was a United turbo prop sitting right outside the door with its' engines running. Rhonda PP ASEL
  21. Hey - You're not a "wet blanket" - I appreciate the info. I don't see all that much difference between doing it with a 152 and a 172 - you have more room in the back of course, but not too much more in the front and we're both fairly small - about 5'5", 135-140 pounds each and he jumps a 107 so I don't think weight would be a huge issue. Myself, I find I have alot of room in the cockpit and always have to move the seat way up to reach the rudder/brake pedals and I usually still can barely reach them with the seat all the way forward so I could wear my gear comfortably and still be able to fly. You still have to deal with getting the door open (unless you take it off) and getting out without a step. Hypothetically, let's say it's a 172 anyway then since it would only take a few hours to get checked out in the 172s according to my CFI, and I was to get in a considerable amount of hours in the 172 - would you do it then? I was surprised that skydiving isn't included the list of "do not do's" on the rental agreements from my flying club - They say no aerobatics and no passengers for hire, but it doesn't specifically say no skydiving... Rhonda PP ASEL
  22. Hey Howard - Somehow it doesn't surprise me that you've done it You know Adrian and if he thinks he can do it, I'm sure he can get out without taking the plane down with him... Chris, I wouldn't do it until I was quite experienced. I'm a pretty conservative person so I wouldn't do it right after I got my PPL, but we want to know if we can even consider it later. Not that we don't love Jumptown of course, Howard I'm sure that it would be an issue with a rented plane, but if I really love flying still after I get the PPL then I may consider purchasing a 152, especially if Adrian can jump out of it too...anything larger and equipped for skydiving purposes is going to run way out of my price range... The place he wants to jump into isn't conjested and is a large field that has a bigger landing area than some DZ's we've jumped at. It's a field where we fly R/C aircraft... Thanks Rhonda PP ASEL
  23. That's the thing - I find it hard enough to get in and out of on the ground...but he thinks he can do it and if he says he can, then he probably can...I wouldn't mind letting him try sometime after I get my PPL and am comfortable with trying it, but I want to know if it's something we can even consider doing... Thanks. Rhonda PP ASEL
  24. Did he get arrested? Rhonda PP ASEL
  25. Well, it's still not going to work if he can't get out of the plane Rhonda PP ASEL
