You didn't miss it. It wasn't on here either. I had it set to record when I saw the preview for it last week. I'm guessing the oil spill took precedence. I was hoping they would mention that it wasn't going to be aired and say when it would be.

Yup I'm watching and it's growing on me. I really loved Everybody Loves Raymond and was hoping this show would be good although I knew it was going to be completely different. I'll continue watching it unless it takes a dive for the worse.

I have some pictures of my uncle Doug when he lived in the loft and used to jump at a DZ in Hutchison or near Hutch back in the late 70's or maybe early 80's. Is one of those DZ's listed in Hutch? I'm not sure of everything he said about those pics but I do remember him saying that they were from Hutch.

That is one of my favorite movies.

I have about 18 static line jumps out of a 182. I also had my instructor tell me on a couple of jumps that I kicked my legs or brought my knees up when I let go of the strut. That was probably my 4th and 5th jump. At some point one of the instuctors told me to point my feet down while hanging. After that I never had a problem with crazy legs.

That is just amazing. That has to be one hell of a sight in person.

Does throwing up in your mouth and swollowing it count? Something like my 10th jump I was extremely nervous like always, but this time I didn't eat breakfast or lunch and all I had to drink was diet dr. pepper. My stomach was fine so I thought. Puking never even crossed my mind since I've never puked or been nauseated while flying, riding a roller coaster or any of my previous jumps. When the chute opened all the sudden my stomach went to my throat. I heaved for about 1000 ft. trying to stop it. I thought, there's no way I'm going to puke on myself and have to explain that to everybody. Didn't help though. I ended up holding my hand over my mouth and then swollowed it. I was in complete disbelief that I puked. It was horrible. Pretty much pure stomach acid. Now I make sure to eat before I go to the DZ when I know I'm going to jump.

If I remember correctly, Dilana was in the bottom three once, and Lukas was in there several times. How could he possible have had more votes at the end? I think they just said that they went with americas voting just to justify their pick because they didn't want a woman as a lead singer. I really wanted to like this band but every time Lukas sings I wanna shut the tv off. Their songs pretty much suck. I really think they made a bad choice and hopefully they'll regret it. I don't see this band making it very far. Dilana flat out rocked! Her voice was so powerful and unique. I'm excited to hear what she does with her album thanks to Gilbys offer to let her use his studio. What a shame!

This is kinda off subject.. not an idea, cause it's been done and this question reminded me of this incident. When I was working security at the hospital about 2 years ago. A doctor flew his plane down to texas (i think) to pick up his son that was having problems. He was flying him back to kansas and was about 15 miles or so from the airport and his son jumped out. I think the report was they were around 2-3000ft. Of all the ways to kill yourself I had never heard of that before. To this day I cant believe someone could do that.

Oct. 16th will be 1 year. Excuse- Lack of money/work/stress... Vicious cycle repeating itself perpetually. If things go as planed I'll get back in the air before I hit that 1 year mark.

I gave plasma twice a week for about 1 year. I made 180 a month. It takes about an hour give or take some. It depends on how hydrated you are and how well you eat. So it took me over an hour cause the machine doesn't really like mcdonalds. It left some small scars that i still have on both arms from donating so many times. I did pass out once, 20 minutes after I donated. I'm not sure how long you should wait to jump after you've donated but I don't think it would be a good idea until you know how it will effect you. During the year I donated I witnessed about 15 people pass out afterwards. But the money sure did help when I needed it.
