  1. So, you'd rather we treat POWs who've killed American soldiers better than illegal immigrants? What in the holy fuck is wrong with you.
  2. Read the whole motherfucking article not just the fucking headline. The third component shit that you didn't read - Less than 75K of the 500K is allocated.
  3. Swing and a miss on both counts. He said, "Fee." Snopes corrects the notion of interest rate, but doesn't say that. ~https://www.kens5.com/article/news/local/home-buying-mortgage-fee/273-a107f354-34c9-4f35-8b89-b3e3292291eb
  4. <hangs head> Why not just put on a combat lifesaver course in every school.
  5. That is no shit. We can't get the congress critters to sit down with each other and talk about real-world shit. These days they only know how to slam each other on social media. Fuck what's best for the country.
  6. Thanks for stepping in Doug. Quite frankly, I/we can identify the problem, but I personally don't feel qualified to address it for several reasons, 1) Having neighbors/acquaintances/family be interviewed about one's mental health can range from the, "He's a loon" (that is all noise and no action) to the, "He was such a nice kid," and 2) At what point are "we" becoming the old Soviet Union where neighbors rat out neighbors. I'm kind of resistant to having a "shoot first, ask questions later" type investigating people for mental health and feel like there's a better direction to take - although I don't really have an answer.

  8. I admittedly don't know much about federal school funding. Just know that our property taxes are significantly more than other areas and our local school system is quite "affluent." Enough so, that we have full-time campus police, etc. etc. But, of course, these luxuries come to those that can afford it. My question would be - when it comes to protecting school children; why does that not fall under the welfare clause of the constitution. How is it that we could develop an entire TSA in about 8 minutes due to 3,000 people being killed at the twin towers and all the other peripheral things in the name of public security, but we can't protect children in schools.
  9. I don't remember voting to spend 80 Billion in the Ukraine.
  10. Makes no sense. It's called utilizing best practices. You don't have to ship all of the issues that Israel has over here to use those things that work.
  11. You know my position regarding 2A and solutions I've put forth. Given the current climate; I point to Israel as a model for a workaround.
  12. Much indeed. They haven't had a school shooting since '72 or '74?
  13. Thank you. Might check my subsequent post and expand further on "shitty example" if I didn't address it.
  14. If it _stops/minimizes/creates a barrier_ to the school shootings; I really don't care about the perception. Many schools already have metal detectors, some have tall iron fences, especially in inner city schools. Some have their own police departments with roving campus police. The discussion would be about stitching it all together - for all schools. I have a hard time believing that we can be the "world's policeman" but not protect our own kids.
  15. You must be new here. Might want to get to know me a bit.
  16. Israel. Doctors in every household. https://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/rpt/2013-R-0119.htm They're never going to flourish if they're dead. [We can't get off our asses enough to write our legislature and the legislature won't get off their asses to write any formative gun bills]
  17. Trigger control is the action of squeezing the trigger so as not to jerk the weapon. But, you knew that somewhere in the deep recesses of your military mind. :)
  18. If any of the points fail - nothing happens. https://youtu.be/TXliIJ_66FQ?t=27
  19. DeSantis _may_ believe they are concurrent activities.
  20. Alec Baldwin's gun from 'Rust' shooting found to be mechanically improper, sources tell ABC News "Investigators effectively conducted an autopsy of the gun and found that there were worn joints. The trigger control was not functioning properly. Baldwin had said previously that he did not pull the trigger when the gun he was holding shot Hutchins." I'm calling bullshit.
  21. On the other hand, Biden's most outspoken critic wound up as VP.
  22. Well, that can't be right. There's no need to write your like-minded congress critters.
