  1. Oh Great. Now you'll spend the next three years figurin out ways to go to HALO school and pissin away even more taxpayer's money. Looks like you were havin a blast man!! Reeled in another one. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Ok. there's one. Ras is off the list... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. Hmmm. Ckecks list to see if there's anyone I like that much... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. All of them are quality rigs - even the one's not mentioned here. Yes, Wings can manufacture a rig to fit a 190. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. Would that make you twice as dumb or half as smart? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  6. I know what you mean, Clay, My office is filled with the little skydiving ditties from years past. Seems like whenever I get a little overwhelmed, looking at those things takes me back to my "happy place." My favorites are the two [empty] bottles of Crown where I jumped into an accuaracy contest for the National Guard returning home. The organizer would put the bottles in the middle of the X and the closest wins. He would then take the crown socks and have the date, your D license number and the phrase, "Took the Crown" embroidered on the bottle sock in the same color as the Crown embroidery. Next time I get home, I'll take a pic and post. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. So you can: Jump out of a C-130. From 800'. At night. With up to 120 lbs of shit strapped between your legs. With a weapon strapped to your side. Under a round canopy, Where the most amount of knowledge you have about the DZ was covered in an overhead topo during the MACO briefing. Where you have four seconds to determine a malfunction (now at 600') and the rest of your time controlling your round and trying to land safely. Then, trying to release said lbs of shit before you land on top of it. Where bad people are trying to find and kill you. And, that's just the beginning of your night - not the end, where everyone goes for beer. Just like skydiving isn't for everyone and we're glad when they make that choice, Airborne school isn't for everyone and... 8. Then how do you like this? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. Chris, Interesting you should bring this up. I have three, one on my right shoulder, one on my left bicep and one on my right forearm. Two of the three are military in nature that I got when I was 18 years old (30 years ago). The only one I really regret is the large one on the right forearm which has faded and migrated into one of those older looking tattoos which I even thought about getting lasered (GET OUT - it hasn't been THAT much of a problem).... As I moved out of the military and into the ranks of management and upper management, I found that I could only wear long-sleeved shirts in front of anyone; employees, customers, potential customers, etc. I'm currently visiting tattoo parlors to get ideas for coverups. The right forearm one, will be a black-inked indian mosaic, the left bicep; he can re-outline and recolor with no problems (I do like that one still) and I'm going to have them place the SCR logo over the existing one on the right shoulder. Short course - if someone decides to get one - get it in an inconspicous place that you won't regret ten or twenty years from now should you move (or desire to move) up through the ranks of corporate America. (High biceps or above, top rear of shoulders, butts, thighs, etc.) Having said all that, one of the greatest tattoos I've ever seen was on a guy at Quincy a few years ago. In the middle of his back in an English Gothic font was the word, "FREEDOM" from the middle of one shoulder blade to the other. I remember thinking, "Ya know, I'm jealous. If I had it to do all over again, that's what I would have done. Says it all." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  10. psst... That's not a sink, it's a urinal don't tell the women - man secret. And... if you run the water, they think you're being courteous for not letting them hear you pee. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  11. Everyone has to go thru a certain thought process and each one is different. Some folks say they want to skydive and sign up for the course, make one AFF or S/L and walk away forever. Others have done two or three jumps [whichever method], walkaway for a little while and come back, some sign up for the whole program - go thru it and walk away, while others jump in and stay. You're looking at the sky, having dreams, are expressing the desire, but no one can really tell you what's right for you. There are risks from walking to the airplane, riding to altitude, exiting, freefall, being under canopy and landing... you've signed a waiver so you know what they are. We really can't tell you what to do, but we can support whatever decision you make. Skydiving is and has to be a personal decision. Go with your gut. 13. Well no, I get the slider also and have corrected the toggles error. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  14. Shit - You're right. Can I blame not having my second cup of coffee on this one??? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  15. Blackmail is always a good way to get unemployment and a letter of recommendation. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  16. You may be better off negotiating, rather than demanding. Usually when one buys a main, they get main canopy & toggles. Risers and P/C may be negotiable. D-Bags are usually not as they tend to go with the rig - but can be negotiable. Discuss, stipulate & get it in writing. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  17. So many opportunities for one-liners here.. But, I refrain. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  18. No. Can tell you I've jumped both and they have different landing characteristics. To me; it's apples and oranges. Sorry. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Hooooaah!! Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  21. May want to include the names of folks on the jumps - there's been times someone has lost or a logbook's been stolen and they spend a great deal of time trying to re-create their logs books. So it looks like; 4-way 8 points Jim X. Suzy Z. Mark A. John. Q. If there was something extraordinary about the dive, I'll add that too as a memory jog. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  22. Well, I guess we'll just have to find some dive outside SkyFest so we don't hurt Spaceland. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  23. Well said. I'd have a lot more respect for this suit [nicknamed Roe v. Wade for Men ] if it was about a woman exercising her "choice" to abort and the man was exercising his "choice" to be responsible. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  24. No, it's a TX school, not an OK school. Unless they were on the football team, then they were probably from an OK school. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  25. You sure it wasn't a matter of gas tax revenues? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
