  1. Same in my state. Lotsa folks still hunt for meat and garden for vegetables.
  2. I was trying to do a comparison between the pellet gun and the actual 22 lr and obviously missed the mark.
  3. OK. Now, I'm tracking. Rule #1 - You kill it. You eat it.
  4. AWESOME!!! I'll let my asshole friends know you're OK with it.
  5. See. You're catching on. The goal isn't to wound them; it's to kill them. Ya know. To Eat. Not everything comes in saran wrapped packages at your grocery store. And, there's still a lot of folks that need to hunt to feed their families. What do have against poor country folk?
  6. I just checked the Google Doodle page and sick fuck with asshole friends isn't until June.
  7. Looks like someone needs to cite their source and not cherry pick just the parts for their argument. From your source: https://ev-lectron.com/blogs/blog/do-electric-cars-depreciate-faster#:~:text=There have been reports that,34.3% drop within three years.
  8. Morning, Phil. Not quite sure what you're trying to get to, but the .22 cal air rifle round is actually .177 and does weigh about 10 grain with a 700-900 f.p.s. Conversely, the actual .22 cal round tops at 40 grain, with a 1260 f.p.s. At 25 yards, the air rifle round can go thru a piece of tin. At fifty yards, not so much given the light weight and drop. If it had been a full .22 cal - different story with a max effective range of 150 yards and a significant drop after that. The good news is the child is expected to make a full recovery.
  9. Squirrel, Prairie dog, Pheasant, Rabbit, Groundhog, Turkey, etc. It's actually more sporting than using a shotgun.
  10. I know, right? The opportunity to own an EV that will cost less and the opportunity to invest that money that one loses on CE.
  11. Yeah, well . . . prolly the same argument the horsemen had about the horseless carriage. Time to move up and on as a society.
  12. If the climate change advocates are wrong; nothing happens. If the climate change skeptics are wrong . . .
  13. I don't understand. Pellet guns are a preferred method of hunting small game.
  14. I was Nuclear Operations & Intel before reenlisting SF. On our Nuke bases, we could not take our own weapons inside. The MP's guarded the primary, secondary and tertiary gates (and the entire fence line/towers) as part of their physical security requirement. We drew weapons once inside and had to return them at the end of duty.
  15. Have you looked at post #2945 or any of the other posts I've made? Make. Them. A. Controlled. Item. It's as simple as that. No harm to the 2nd. No one getting their legal weapons confiscated. A safer U.S. Why are you making this hard?
  16. They are issued. Just like in the military. Officers must sign for them. They are accountable not only for their securing the weapons in a proper manner, just like in the military; they are accountable for every discharge. And, if they do not do these things, just like in the military - they can be subject to an Article 15 or court [martial] (civilian style). And, if every one was required to register their guns, ensure they were properly stored, and ammunition were to be signed for by lot number (just like in the military), and the signing party held responsible for their expenditure; then law enforcement would have a much better path to resolving crimes committed with the use of guns. A by-product of this would be people maintaining better control of their weapons and ammunition. Finally, if the police were to come across a weapon that is unregistered for any reason - it gets confiscated and smelted. Over time, the number of unregistered weapons would diminish. If we had started this after Columbine, some 350,000 children's lives would not have been impacted by gunfire and 379 school shootings would have been lessened. A by-product of this would be the ability to take a walk and not fear getting shot. But, of course as long as the other 24 states pass constitutional carry, then everyone can walk around like John Fucking Wayne and carry a gun on their hip - making the world a much safer place. /s
  17. Isn't that what just happened in Montana.
  18. Just stop. Montana has been voting Republican since 1952 (I think only a couple of times has a Democrat won). Trump ran unopposed in Montana and won all 27 delegates. I have several moderate Republican veteran friends living there and visit them often - they/we are like-minded. You can thank the moderate Republicans who think this is more right than not. Not every Republican is "Reich, Facist, Racist, Cuckservative, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc. Enough already. Man that gets old.
  19. You're right. I was looking at total homicides.
  20. Nope. Homicidal Crazy. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/homicide_mortality/homicide.htm
  21. But, less crazy than living in California.
  22. Afternoon, Jerry - That kinda gave me the idea for for the post. Thought it would be a good new thread for some enjoyment if others share their funny relationship stories also. I'll add more as time goes on.
  23. ME: I'm getting to a point where I'm going to need a top end on the Harley. HER: What does that mean? ME: They take off the heads and barrels here and see if the cylinders, pistons or heads need some work. But, as long as I'm at it; I could change the the 107 to a 124 with a big bore kit. HER: How much is that? ME: A couple of grand. HER: That seems like a lot of money. ME: Well, I'd actually be saving money. See, I already have the competition clutch, high output oil pump, so it'll actually be a couple of grand less. HER: I appreciate your thinking that I'm a part of this decision-making process.
  24. Ovulation is not thru the ass.
  25. Yup. That's how I justified my Harley wants too.
