  1. They only need 9 R's to convert. It won't happen if they don't try. Nope. I proposed that all weapons be subject to the NFA. Now tell everyone more about it and the reasons. Sometimes you wear me out, Joe. You really don't offer any solutions, but you're very critical of what everyone else puts up.
  2. Thanks, Jerry. Far More: true statement.
  3. There are more moderates calling for well-balanced firearm responsibility than there are survivalist Billy Joe Bobs.
  4. Please give her my regards and thanks for her assistance during a difficult time.
  5. With respect, that's only one frame of reference. I have just as much time in Disaster Response, helping the citizens of this country during some of the worst disasters in our history receiving accolade's from community leaders to a single African-American barber just outside New Orleans during Katrina. I feel comfortable with having looked "in the belly of the beast" numerous times and seen the best and the worst of people. In my opinion, CK is a piece of shit. He took an absolutely horrible summer and used it for his own personal gain. He wasn't trying to do something noble. He was trying to focus the limelight on him in the hopes to get his lousy game play and end of contract propped up. He used George Floyd's death for his own gain. Comparisons of CK to Rosa Parks and throwing a confederate flag argument at me - silliness. We've had this conversation before. You didn't sway me and I didn't sway you. Now, it's just become a circular argument. So, that's where we're at. Moving on.
  6. Damn. Jim Brown passed [last] Thursday night.
  7. I feel strongly about what the flag represents. It was not the time or the place. That moment at the beginning of each football game (or any other event) is a moment to pay your respect for those fallen and to thank this nation. We can argue, protest, throw eggs and beat our drums at any other time. But, in that one moment we should all as one nation rise up to give our thanks and respect to the flag that we can argue, protest and beat our drums. We can put our disagreements on hold for two minutes. Join me at the National Cemetery this Memorial Day.
  8. Yes. We respectfully disagree about the CK situation. I'm not sure how my opinion on this made a quantum leap to the military being in charge of the country. Would not ever entertain the notion.
  9. Exactly. "And, it was in this moment he knew he fucked up."
  10. While he did not break the law; he broke a very strong social rule. The flag and anthem may represent different things to different people, but many associate them with the military, not police. He missed his target by several miles. As for Ms. Rosa and others who break the law for social change; that is a much higher standard of commitment to a cause. In the military; the standard of hero is - one who puts their butt on the line. Ms. Rosa did just that.
  11. One of my "heroes" is Jim Brown; athlete and social change activist. Mr. Brown opposed CK's actions also. What CK could have done with his position was held a press conference to denounce what happened. He could have started some type of community | inner-city interaction program with the police departments. That would have sustained a much longer legacy not unlike Jim Brown's Amer-I-Can organization which started in 1988 and still exists today. Let's not forget that CK sat first for the National Anthem. The kneeling didn't start until Boyer tried salvaging the situation. And, just for the record; if I were in Nate's shoes, I would probably and have tried to help a teammate from imploding also.
  12. The most important phrase of that whole thing is, " . . . discussed our situation, our different opinions and feelings about all this." See, Nate didn't approve of what Colin was doing either. It was Colin's intention to put himself in the limelight as a social justice warrior. Nate being a team member knew that Colin was going to lose everything if he continued. Being the team player, Nate offered Colin a different path to hopefully keep him on the team. Colin a hero. No. The heroes are those who put their lives on the line every day, military, ER Doctors and nurses (think pandemic), Fire fighters, Police, the man who almost gets run over trying to save a kitten from a car, etc. Those are heroes. Not some football player pandering for likes on the internet.
  13. I'm half expecting Elon with Joe Rogan as VP to enter the race. Fucking fiasco from both sides.
  14. Same in my state. Lotsa folks still hunt for meat and garden for vegetables.
  15. I was trying to do a comparison between the pellet gun and the actual 22 lr and obviously missed the mark.
  16. OK. Now, I'm tracking. Rule #1 - You kill it. You eat it.
  17. AWESOME!!! I'll let my asshole friends know you're OK with it.
  18. See. You're catching on. The goal isn't to wound them; it's to kill them. Ya know. To Eat. Not everything comes in saran wrapped packages at your grocery store. And, there's still a lot of folks that need to hunt to feed their families. What do have against poor country folk?
  19. I just checked the Google Doodle page and sick fuck with asshole friends isn't until June.
  20. Looks like someone needs to cite their source and not cherry pick just the parts for their argument. From your source: https://ev-lectron.com/blogs/blog/do-electric-cars-depreciate-faster#:~:text=There have been reports that,34.3% drop within three years.
  21. Morning, Phil. Not quite sure what you're trying to get to, but the .22 cal air rifle round is actually .177 and does weigh about 10 grain with a 700-900 f.p.s. Conversely, the actual .22 cal round tops at 40 grain, with a 1260 f.p.s. At 25 yards, the air rifle round can go thru a piece of tin. At fifty yards, not so much given the light weight and drop. If it had been a full .22 cal - different story with a max effective range of 150 yards and a significant drop after that. The good news is the child is expected to make a full recovery.
  22. Squirrel, Prairie dog, Pheasant, Rabbit, Groundhog, Turkey, etc. It's actually more sporting than using a shotgun.
  23. I know, right? The opportunity to own an EV that will cost less and the opportunity to invest that money that one loses on CE.
  24. Yeah, well . . . prolly the same argument the horsemen had about the horseless carriage. Time to move up and on as a society.
  25. If the climate change advocates are wrong; nothing happens. If the climate change skeptics are wrong . . .
