Good catch Rick! Wonder how Donna let that mug get away. Here's a photo of Donna with one of her mugs.

Now that I think about it Connie probably has all hers still. She has a couple of notable claims to fame. In 1969 she became the first woman in the world to jump a square parachute. In 1973 she was getting ready to head for Yugoslavia as the alternate on the US Women's team when a call from her obstetrician said that would be a bad idea. Our oldest daughter (now 40 and a mother of three herself) had 46 jumps before she was born.

Those are the greatest of days for me at the Ranch. You, Connie, Ski & Donna were "Sky Gods" to me in '75 & '76. You and Ski are the one's that coached me on Style And Accuracy.
    Thx Again

  2. I'm looking at the Florida Parachute Council News Letter for the February 28-29 1976 Tittusville Meet.

The winner of the Trophy in question was Donna Chielewski.

This was my 1st meet as an Intermediate jumper. I got 2nd place Accuracy, 5th in Style and 1st place Comination.

Funny how I can't remember what I had for breakfast but remembered this like it was yesterday. :)

What is the website for that network, or what is the channel the story was on?

ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - A multi-million dollar judgment against your company, followed by a visit by the FOX 5 I-Team isn't a very happy way to start the New Year.

FOX 5 I-Team reporter Randy Travis says a Kennesaw company has been in trouble for years.

The company is 1-800-Skyride, a skydiving booking company responsible for all the bumper stickers seen stuck on utility poles around Metro Atlanta.

Now the company is in bigger trouble somewhere else.

  5. It's only a 20 way but it's better than the old 12 way. It was done at the Halloween Boogie in Thomaston. Y'all missed one heck of a party...Thanks Trey.

We had two sets of brothers on the dive also.B|

Now all you old timers make plans for the Dublin Boogie so we can do a much larger formation.

    Old people rock.;)

This is a feeling that has been growing and nibbling at me for quite a while. I am bored. This year I will pass my twentieth year in the sport and while I find it to be mildly amusing I also find that I look toward a weekend at the dropzone as a necessary evil or chore. I have been going to the DZ every weekend in season for most of my adult life. I just do it because I alway have.

Has anyone else gone through this. How can I make this interesting again?

Hey dude, life is to short to just do one thing -- even if it is skydiving. I took 25yrs off to do OTHER FUN STUFF. Go Hang gliding, get into car racing at your local track, learn to fly AEROBATICS, get a 500hp Boss Hoss motorcycle----do anything, just don't be bored.

There IS more to life, go find what turns you on again.

A fun day for me is riding the Boss Hoss to the airport, getting in the plane for some acro, then landing at the dropzone for a few jumps. Then you got to do it all over again to get home;) On the way home from the airport stop by the local indoor gun range for some target shooting to blow off a little steam...............THEN IF YOU'RE STILL BOARD, I CAN'T HELP YA! ;)
