...play Little League? My 11 year old daughter is playing softball on her park's tournament team, and on the weekend they won the BC Provincial Championship. The nationals start here in Victoria Wednesday. We are heading out to the airport in an hour or so to pick up members of the team representing the Prairies who will billet with us. The winning team will represent Canada at the World Series in Portland, Oregon, which starts next week. This spring and summer have been pretty much all ball all the time! Question for the Oregonians: How close is the nearest dz to Alpenrose Park? Not that I'll get a lot of time for skydiving if our team goes to the World Series, but ya never know

My wife is wonderful. We started our family after being married for 8 years. I started skydiving after we had been married for 14 years. Our next anniversairy is our 19th! I just think that too many people get married without really knowing their partner well enough, and too many people don't give enough serious consideration to the committment you make to each other when you get married.

Agreed! btw, I didn't suggest young men should be tested frequently -- just pointing out where the danger on the road lies... those guys I talked about in mypost who died in a high speed crash -- police estimate the driver was going around 150 kilometres/hour .. that's more than 90 mph in a 30 zone. -
The funding may be to low to meet the criteria for going to the boogie, but -- 2 weeks clean is worth more than any $$$ amount. Good for you... keep going.

I think you'll find that young men are responsible for far more severe accidnets than the elderly. Just yesterday, 2 young men were killed and a 3rd critically injured when the driver smashed his 64 Chevy Impala into a concrete utility pole at very high speed (in a 50 kph -- or 30 mph if you are in the USA) at 4 in the morning. The vehicle looked like it had been carved apart by rescuers using the jaws of life -- but it was the force of the impact that totally ripped this car to peices. A horrific scene. One of the dead was a promising lacrosse player, the other the son of a member of our Provincial Government. The driver is critical. Too many young men driving like idiots out there, killing people. If you speed, you are part of the problem. -
