  1. For me it`s clear. I`m working as a salesrep, thats my living. When the customers says:"Jump", I ask:"How high should I jump?". Ok, I`m a prostitute......... Most of us are jumping for fun, Felix not, it`s his job/Occupation. In other words, different approach to jumping demands different judgment. (And possible Prostitution....) ”Verden har mange mangler, der mangelen på nytenkning er den største” Mikael Gorbatsjov
  2. I think you can compare most of the logistics in mid-norway with the Italian Terminal Wall. It`s nearly impossible to find it without local help or a really detailed map. You have to have some kind of transportation-help either before or after the hike/jump. In addition the hikes are steeper, more exposed and longer. In basic everybody can hike to the top, it`s only a matter of time, the tricky/dangerous part is if you have to return due to weather. In other words, if you don`t have resources to plan the trip WELL you`d better stick to Kjerrag. "have a good one......." Halo my danish friend :-) I would use 2 of my teleskopic tentpoles. If I fold them together they are about 3 meter each, use tape to connect them together. Attach the rope to a big (fishing-)hook, and attach the hook to the pole. Use tape again, that way you can remove the tentpole when the hook is on the ladder. For climbing i would recommend a mechanical brake, jumar.. etc. Maybe you can attach a "rope-ladder" ( taustige) to the hook ??? ebbe3 ”Verden har mange mangler, der mangelen på nytenkning er den største” Mikael Gorbatsjov
  4. Ok, I was wrong, there is at least ONE norwegian jumper that has completed a course. Sorry for missleading the readers...... Nevertheless its quite obivious, those who are holding the courses will of course, justify the costs. Everybody who has done anything with sales/marketing know the mechanisms of pricing in highly specialiced markeds. I also guess most of us intend to justify our choices (taking a FJC), at least official. Nobody knew less than he who thought...... 5. Quite interesting question. As U probably know we have a lot of local jumpers in Norway. There is some kind of schooling in Kjerrag, but thats all. I do not know one norwegian jumper that has taken part in any kind of a organised base-course. As far as I`m concerned we just have a small "community" helping each other in the right direction.... But I guess it is special to be norwegian, we have a LOT of high mountains and probably the best sky-divers (possible recruts) in the world commpared to the inhabitants. Is there any scientific figures/statistics that shows that the courses are helpful ? Concerning the attitude of this thread, I`m NOT taking any part, just telling my experience and asking a question. Quote of the Week

My favorite: "You will begin to touch heaven, Jonathan, in the moment that you touch perfect speed. And that isn't flying a thousand miles an hour, or a million, or flying at the speed of light. Because any number is a limit, and perfection doesn't have limits. Perfect speed, my son, is being there." ”Verden har mange mangler, der mangelen på nytenkning er den største” Mikael Gorbatsjov
