  1. Rather than splitting his share, can you start from scratch and split the total rent by three based on sizes of the rooms? Nobody can help the situation that you all ended up dealing with. It's not his or her fault that he was deployed early, and unless she is going to find another person to share a bedroom with it seems like the best bet might be just to split the total between the three of you. It's unfortunate, but a heck of a lot less to deal with than the guy hanging out in the sandbox right now. Killing threads since 2004.
  2. SkinnyShrek . . . one of the all time best . . . Murdered just before Christmas 2 years ago . . . Sorry. That sux. What was he like? Any good stories? This is the bonfire. A most obnoxious and often outlandishly rude individual that was universally loved by damn near all who came into contact with him, whether in person or online. I've met very few people that loved and lived life more fully and even fewer that would give so much of themselves to help others enjoy life too, whether a friend for years or an acquaintance for minutes. turbo tax

I agree with Tax Act. I've been using it since 1999 or so and love it. www.taxactonline.com As someone said about Turbo Tax it's great that it holds over lots of info from year to year. I paid a total of about $13 and that was to efile my federal return and have Tax Act retain my return for the next 7 or so years. At anytime I can access it and print it. It's been 6 years since I lived in a state with state tax so I don't remember exactly how much adding a state return is, but it's not much. If you want to get away without spending any money you can go through the whole input process with all of your info, print it and mail it without spending a dime. I HIGHLY recommend it. No money up front if you just want to give it a try and see what it's like. Killing threads since 2004.

  5. I don't think you have to say how much. Going with something he cared about is great. I think a nice card that mentions a contribution was made in his memory is appropriate. Killing threads since 2004.

  7. I was considering the same options a few years back. I really couldn't afford the tempurpedic, especially considering I wasn't sure I would like it. Ended up spending the money on one of their pillows just to see how I liked that. It was comfortable, no doubt, but I felt like it swallowed me. On a cool night that was no problem, but I am very hot natured and sweat easily and on anything BUT a cool night I found it suffocating. Have you considered purchasing a "memory foam" mattress topper to see what you think? It's obviously not the same as the Tempurpedic bed, but would give you a hint at what it will feel like and may save you a sizable chunk of change if you decide you don't like it. The Hangover

I saw it after my brother was raving about the movie all day. I laughed plenty, but I wouldn't say it lived up to the hype. I also don't think I would have laughed quite as much as I did had I not been watching it with a group. That said, I also think Family Guy (which seems to be almost universally loved) is one of the most stupid shows on TV. I'll laugh my ass off now and then watching it with other people at the station, but you wouldn't ever catch me watching it on my own. Killing threads since 2004.
  9. So has anyone out there found any type of cell booster/amplifier for a reasonable ($100 range) that helps at all? I just moved into a new place and I'm lucky to have 1 bar of service if any at all. My cell is my only phone and my lifeline to overtime hours at my EMS job. I've just ordered a magic Jack to give it a try, but ideally I sure would like to get my cell to work inside!!! Killing threads since 2004.

    Jokes

Brilliant! What's the best way to stop a clown from laughing? Hit him in the face with an ax. Killing threads since 2004.
  11. Don't really care one way or the other, but loved the segment on Leno's show with Jimmy Kimmel. 10 at 10 or something. Killing threads since 2004.
  12. Check out a connecting flight to Gainesville too. Probably the same problem w/ being too expensive, but worth a shot. Some Palatka jumpers around there. Killing threads since 2004.
  13. Probably a comb over. May the force be with the person that goes looking for where it is being combed from! Killing threads since 2004.

  15. I went with a couple female co-workers to take the Zumba class at the YMCA where I used to live. Went to a few classes and was enjoying it but I was the only guy and I really felt like an intruder. I wasn't in the least bit self conscious of being the only guy, but I got the feeling that some of the ladies in the class were a little more self conscious with a guy in the room when it had always been all ladies. I couldn't go the following week and a couple different women commented to my friend that they felt bad but were happy to see that "the guy" didn't attend today. I enjoyed it, but I had other ways I enjoy doing a cardio workout and decided not to be the interloper in this setting. Killing threads since 2004.
  16. Well we on the south Texas coast are thankfully back up into the much more normal mid-60s. Unfortunately we are also back up to the normal 100% humidity.
  17. Duuuuuuuuuuuude! How have I missed this until now! How about #24601 for this Dude? Killing threads since 2004.
  18. Not to mention, while terrorism has been something new on the minds of your average American in the last 10 years, it's hardly something new for much of the world. Killing threads since 2004.
  19. P90X is amazing if you can stick to it. The key for me was knowing when I could and couldn't keep up 100% with what they were doing on screen. If you can, great, but you are much better off just toning down what they are doing and continuing for the full workout than trying to mimic them 100% and constantly stopping because you can't keep up. The goal of the program is warming up and keeping the workout moving for the full period, all the way through the cool down. In my previous job we did an hour of PT together as a crew every morning and we typically worked out to P90X projected onto a bay door. Doing it in the small group (none of whom had anything to hide or be embarrassed about from the others) was the way to do it for me. I've tried time and again to get back into doing it at home and I just can't keep up the motivation (not to mention living in an upstairs apartment I don't imagine the guy below me appreciated me jumping all over the place). You can buy it direct and it comes with a whole program and meal plans, etc. My former co-worker got on ebay and purchased a copy that came in "authentic" looking boxes, etc. but cost about $60. We never followed the plan itself, just used the videos in our daily workout and most of us had pretty good results. Killing threads since 2004.
  20. they are similar, but the indigo is usually quite a bit bigger. Consider yourself lucky if you see one. The are state listed in Florida and are mostly found in well managed long leaf pine forests. We used to come across them while doing gopher tortoise surveys after prescribed fires. A pretty cool snake n Killing threads since 2004.
  21. It's certainly easy to get carried away with, but it's not that difficult to come up with healthier stuff. I throw a backpack in the truck with a few apples, a few granola bars, maybe a candybar for a quick pick-me-up and my 100oz or so Bubba keg with water. None of that is really meant to be a meal, but it helps keep the appetite down until we can make it past the station. On a side note, if the floor of your truck is so dirty that you don't feel comfortable sitting your lunch box on it then it sounds like it's time to do some cleaning. With how easily MRSA and other nasty stuff are passed, under normal circumstances our trucks are wiped down bumper to bumper at shift change every morning. Just nasty!!! All of that said, everytime time we transport early in the morning we do get a little giddy if the patient wants to go to the hospital that has the tasty little taco shack next door. 22. I can imaging the neighborhood where the $14 rate is paid, Sounds pretty dangerous shit. They pay as high as 18.75 in some areas in TX. Don't know about elsewhere. Killing threads since 2004.

    Texas Rocks!!

ha! Have you ever visited Rockport, TX? You just described it, in winter anyway! It's always nice when they all go home and our call volume drops 60%. Killing threads since 2004.
  24. Exactly wat I thought of when I saw the thread title. Used to live for "rib day" back in elementary school. I have a feeling I would LOVE the McRib no matter nasty I thought it was so I have yet to ever try one. Killing threads since 2004.

Hmmm...guess I'll have to take back the comment. Found them for all sorts of colleges online. Oddly enough the stores in Florida had never seen them. Killing threads since 2004.
