  1. It is listed on the Skyventure site,.. but I have not heard a thing about it lately. We are north,... so come visit us when we are up and running. www.skyventurenh.com I think that Silicon Valley might be the next one to be built but that is at least a year away. Check out bodyflight.net sometimes they list news of other tunnels. Blue Skies! Laurie
  2. Hi All, Just another update. We were not able to get our site paved this week but are in hopes that we will next week. Our crew didn't work at the site today due to it is so wet and it rained all day! Well,.. at least all of the SNOW is GONE!
  3. Have not tried that one,.. I like the Raspberry Cha Cha! Hope that you are well and that you had a good holiday. Blue Ones! Laurie
  4. No the tunnel is not ready yet,.. but we will keep posting so that you can see our progress. No beer rules at the tunnel but you could bring me an Odwalla smoothie if you want!
  5. Hi Eule, Yes the inlet contrator is below the flight chamber and will be exposed to give the building a cool look. As far as the exchange of air we have 4 very large louvers built into the return air towers. The purpose is to control the temp and bring in fresh air when needed. I have picked my color and it will be BLUE! Thanks and Blue Skies! Laurie
  6. Hi Mark, As I have said in the past we look forward to meeting you and helping you with any of your goals. On another note,... just an update to everyone about our site. Our construction crew is digging in the street now at 12:32 am hooking up our water line as I post this. This is our last utility to hook up to our site. We have our final load of steel arriving Monday am. Rob and I always look forward to this because we get to go out and count EVERY piece! The site is scheduled to be paved on 12/1. It is a nice way to start the month of December. It appears that mother nature is going to dump some SNOW on Turkey Day! We don't need snow this early so I am in hopes that we don't get any. The film crew for American Builder was out again yesterday gathering footage. They will be working something up for when we start flying steel which should be VERY SOON! I will keep you posted. I have been given the task today to try and figure out what color to paint our exposed inlet contractor. So I am thinking that it will be a nice blue. Well,.. that is all here and I hope that everyone has a nice Thanksgiving! Blue Cold Skies! Laurie
  7. Thanks Stacy for the input. As an owner of SkyVenture New Hampshire I have to tell everyone that we hope to be open in March. Our opening date will depend on how bad our winter is. So,.. hope for a mild winter and we will get this baby built. On another note our first shipment of fans will be arriving the first week in December. Our fans are state of the art and a little different than Colorado or Airkix. I will post pictures of them when we get them. We are still on schedule for getting our paving done and things are coming along. I know that I have said this in the past but our website is being worked on and should be up fairly soon. I will post a message when it is running. We have set our pricing and will be giving early bird specials. We will also be selling gift certificates as soon as the site is up. Rob and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Blue Skies! Laurie
  8. I just knew that someone would have a reply on the secret route! Artistic license duly noted! I will clock it next time we are in the glasair. Hope to see you soon lawndart.
  9. Hi Mark, There is a bunch of land there but it will soon be shopping / commuter rail to boston and so on. Here is a list of all of the surrounding dropzones and you can also go to www.uspa.org to look up info on them. Pepperell Skydiving Center - Pepperell, MA. www.skyjump.com 12 minutes if you drive FAST,.. and 15 if you take your time! Jumptown - Orange, MA - www.jumptown.com The time was not posted correctly. It actually takes just over an hour to get there from the tunnel. Unless someone tells me some secret route to take. Skydive New England - www.ugojump.com 1 hour and 40 minutes Connecticut Parachutists - Ellington, CT-www.skydivect.com 1 hour and 50 minutes. So,.. I hope that you find this helpful. The last I checked all of these DZ's are running Otter's or Super Otters. There are no dropzones in NH but there will be a TUNNEL! If you are thinking of flying the closest airport is Manchester, NH - 25 minutes to the tunnel. Boston - Logan is only 45 minutes away. Look forward to seeing you.
  10. Hi All, Here is another update on the tunnel. We just poured a very large wall section for the lobby and should have that done by tomorrow. (11/15). The site is coming along and is in the final stages of being prepped for the paving of our parking lot. We hope to have the paving done by the end of the month. We now have very large pieces of steel just waiting to go vertical!
  11. I talked to the host of American Builder today and they are not going to start showing our site for about 4 weeks. They will compile footage each week and then start to show it after we start going vertical. I will post the listing time of the first show. Blue Ones! Laurie
  12. Hi All, For anyone that is interested we were just asked to be on a show called American Builder on Comcast CN8 ( channel 3 ) every week until we are complete. I think that our footage will start in next weeks show. So if you want to see our progress and you have comcast,.. check out the show. More updates and pics are coming soon! Blue Skies! Laurie
  13. We look forward to meeting you and having you fly in our tunnel. Blue Skies! Laurie
  14. Hi All, Just another update. Rob and I just returned from FL this past weekend and viewed all of our parts. The flight chamber looks awesome along with the turning banks and more. We have 2 loads of steel and our VFD's arriving on Thursday and the rest of the goods to follow.
  15. We are trying,... hope for a warm winter!!!! Looking forward to seeing you at our tunnel. How was your flying time in Orlando? I have been told that UK (they are like us) is smooth, clean, fast and no drop off on the edges. I wish I could snap my fingers and have it built! Thanks for keeping tabs on us. Blue Skies! Laurie
  16. Hi All! Just another update. Here are some pics of our foundation walls that are now complete! As soon as we waterproof them we will be back filling the foundation and then on to the rest of the site work. Blue Skies! Laurie
  17. Thanks for that thought,... we will not be open soon enough in our minds. We do however need the lobby so that we can get to the flight chamber. One very cool feature we have in our lobby is a large hole in the ceiling. So when you stand in the lobby you can see what is going on in the flight chamber on the second floor. Thanks and Blue Skies! Laurie
  18. Hi All, Just another update for those of you who may not have read bodyflight.net lately. All of our footings are done and we are forming up the last section of foundation wall and will pour it on Friday. They will then move on to the footings for the lobby and get the site ready to pave. Thanks and Blue Skies! Laurie & Rob
  19. Hi Jeff, We will be setting our weight limit at 250 but we may make exceptions. There is actually no problem in us getting him off the net. The good thing is that he is tall. We will have plenty of power. It becomes a safety issue for the student and instructor. Have him call and talk to our manager when we open. Thanks and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. If you would like to contact me outside of this forum you can email me at : [email protected] Thanks and Blue Skies! Laurie
  20. Skyventure New Hampshire and Skyventure Colorado are the same size and same horsepower. 12 foot, 1200 horsepower. The only difference at times is the elevation. NH is at 200 feet msl and CO is like 5000 feet msl. New Hampshire will have a few upgrades but it is unknown still if it will really make the airflow any better. They should all be fast tunnels! Skyventure UK / Airkix is 12 foot, 1000 hp and should be opening soon from what I hear.
  21. I am looking forward to seeing that! How about a preview for the upcoming end of year party? You should of been there with your sticks when we burned down the house! Blue Skies! Laurie
  22. We do have a potential swooping pond close to the tunnel... It is one of the longest in the country and challenging due to it is not straight. It is called the Merrimack River!. Don't mind the rocks,.. think of them as targets! Blue Skies! Laurie
  23. If you have not been around the site lately the chemical plant (NH chemical) is GONE. The site has been extensively tested and should be complete on the clean up by the end of October. If there were any problems over there I don't think that they would be talking about putting a commuter rail train station to Boston. They are also talking about big box stores, condos and more! If you are worried,... rest assured that we have had all of our environmental studies done on our land and there are no problems. Check out our ice cold water fountain when you come to the tunnel. Ha! I did however notice when we started our site clearing that the local woodchucks living on the property seemed very large! We currently do not have any plans for memberships. We do look forward to seeing everyone at the tunnel. Blue Skies and tunnel dreams! Laurie
