SOMEBODY needs to do better at researching. Dollar stores ain't been "dollar" stores since before the Trumpster fire came along and shat on the planet.
  2. That ship sailed a long time ago. Now it's time to decide what he loses to the State. I hope they take the Boeing.
  3. While ignoring the $20 BILLION (and increasing) US annual fossil fuels subsidies.
  4. Ford disagrees! DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!
  5. I don’t understand why it’s ok to regulate a woman’s body to save a fetus, but it’s not ok to regulate the sale of guns to save the life of a child. - Sara Spector
  6. "I've reconsidered, the ruling stands. Don't do it again or it'll be worse. " -Judge Arthur Engoron
  7. And this is why non-binary people leave their families or move to other states. We have this problem in our family. The oldest generation in the family has a no fucks given attitude as to what you want us to call you, we will still call you the name the family gave you. Even if it's an insulting nickname. Some people just prefer to be disagreeing assholes. Which I suppose is THEIR pronoun. Which makes it odd given their own personal sense of pride when it comes to their desired pronoun.
  8. That he clearly doesn't understand the asylum process?
  9. Trump bring threatened with jail time for violating the Gag Order. Couldn't happen to a more treasonous criminal. I may need to get a nice bottle of celebration whiskey for the day our Justice system protects our democracy by putting Trump's fat orange ass in prison for the rest of his life.

America has been quite successful at creating multi-generational hatred for the US and this has contributed to the terrorism we see.
  12. I'm seeing this in production manufacturing factories I'm supporting now. Companies are offering $30/hr to work in the factory. Menial manual labor. Spending the entire shift moving a product from one spot to another. It's getting harder and harder to find and retain workers that want to do this, much less for a lifetime. The turnover of skilled employees that know how portions of the manufacturing process works is VERY challenging. The industrial controls and automation is slightly better in finding and keeping people because of the skills/pay required for technical jobs. There used to be stock options and profit sharing incentives that actually could make you a millionaire by the time you reached retirement. That was when it was a family owned company though. Now that it's a publicly traded stock and investor owned company with profits on the line - corporate greed is the driving force. I'm selfishly thankful for a career in tech that puts me in a better place in such companies, but it is still harmful to the success of the lives of the hourly workers. It's also quite a dangerous environment for the Joe's in the company too.
  13. Manual labor on assembly lines can and have been retrained for tech jobs. Friends on the auto lines in Detroit - 1 went into robotics and maintains the machinery on the lines, the other went into auto engineering and is working on driveline designs. CAD operators are still in need as well. I do realize some hardcore manual labor folks will continue to have challenges, adult education/continuing education is available, and some immigrants are having success with family recipe food trucks for just a few examples. Others will continue to need help, and some people just seem to have endless bad luck in life forever - as a society I hope we continue to assist where we can.

Last I heard, Russia isn't even burying their own.
  15. I've been in IT since the early 80's. The jobs I've had have "gone away" 3 times. Adapt to the changes and learn new skills. Skills that pay significantly more.
  16. No he didn't. Trump was appointed, not elected by popular vote. We, the citizens, were ignored.
  17. Good thing one of my best friends is the former head of the Jeep division, credited with restoring their reliability and quality, and that the car came with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. Repairs will be pennies compared to the MB, even doing them myself was expensive AF on the Benz. I laughed when the local MB dealers were offering financing for maintenance programs. Oil changes with monthly payments? Nope. As with all Benz's, it was a great car....until maintenance and repairs. I've had Jeeps before and not had any issues with them, unlike EVERY Chevrolet product I've had except one - the Firebird Formula 350. I'm OCD about care and maintenance though - so I've had pretty good luck with most vehicles. I just got the software updated on my car computer to actually talk to the new Jeeps, including the security gateway portion - I need to see what I can change/adjust/add on this new baby.
  18. We just unloaded Andrea's Mercedes in favor of a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. I couldn't fathom a $600 - $1500 PCV valve replacement. The luxury SUV of the Grand Cherokee puts the Mercedes to shame as well. Beautiful upgrade.
  19. Well he did only grab her kidneys, MAGAs are known to grab women by the pu$$y. Maybe her standards are a bit more trashy.
